2.7 problem

replace bin 32 for bin 32 what a hell, what bin 32? i download the bin 32 from megaupload than now what do i do with it?

 

and repair what? when i star the game it runs right util i put my password and i agree with that thing than i doesn't go on it stop there.

 

having the same problem...i was reading and forgot to repair...gona do it after i get off work....

@kyo17fk: repair i think means using the NCSoft Launcher, changing the target folder to the GAMEZ AION one and repairing the files.... after that they suggest to go into ur game folder and replacing the bin32 folder with the downloaded (2.6) bin32....and editing the version.ini file from 2.7.0.0 to 2.6.0.1

repair ur Aion client using NCsoft

 

You wont be able to open the map with the standard keys m and n(i dunno if that gets fixed with the repair thing), on your journal on any quest that gives you the option to Locate something just press locate and the map pops out.

If you are sure you have updated your Game Client to 2.7.x.x, you can try following Smartik1's Guide. (You can see what your client's current version is from the version.ini file that is located on your Aion installation folder).
If it says 2.7.x.x write 2.6.0.1 and save it.

All you have to do to downgrade your client to 2.6 is:

1) On your taskbar, click Start > My Computer > Local Disc C: > Program Files > NCSoft > Aion

2) Download the bin32.rar file from here. (You said you already downloaded it so skip this step)

3) Download the Data.rar file from here. (Wait for the timer on the bottom-right side of the window, then the download button will appear).

4) Download WinRAR from here if you don't already have it, so you can extract the compressed folders you have downloaded.

5) Extract the bin32/data folders into your Aion installation folder (C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion) to replace the current ones you have with the ones you downloaded.

Done!

ps: If you encounter any issues after replacing the Data folder, Open C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion\Data\USA\Items and delete the Items.pak file that is there and rename the Items backup.pak file into Items.pak

If after that you still get any errors, let us know so we can help you further.

Followed all the steps to no avail. I can log in, but still no quest text and no map. Any other advice for those still stuck like myself?
