Seeding our own 2.6 torrent

It would seem the few 2.6 client torrents out there are all dead, was thinking that maybe the gamez community could create our own torrent to seed for new players until this server becomes 2.7

so...any volunteers? xD

whats your net connection? anyways we would have to create one

preferably a 2.6.0.4 client since most people have that and could seed it (i have 2.6.0.1), maybe with the modified items.pak BUT with a backup of the original in the folder just in case people have issues

if u have fast upload on ur net and a working 2.6.0.4 client, you can make a new torrent and post the magnet link here, we can add it to the main website for everybody afterwards

just make a new torrent from uTorrent or something ^^

Within the L10 folder, there is a ENU folder, follow that and here is your Original/Japanese sounds.
If you don't want the Japanese sounds then just delete the 'Sounds' folder and rename 'Sounds.Orig' to just 'Sounds'


The Item.Pak works for my OS which is Win7... if it doesn't work then you can just download the correct item.pak for your OS from here;

@Sycth as nice as it sounds can u remake it into a proper torrent? a lot of people here wouldnt know how to take out the unnecessary stuff (like all the patch files) a regular aion folder has around 18 ish gb, urs has over 28gb. also if u do, leave the original sounds as default and japanese as optional. u can also leave the original items.pak as backup in the proper folder. thx

 

I don't know what files to remove mate

 

the ncpatch ones in the main aion folder (free files just below the yellow folders). they r unnecessary and take up too much space, 1 of them is 10gb lol

all of them can go, they r used for updating/repairing without net connection if i remember (kinda like keeping setup files for games ur playing). but yeah the game runs fine without them and most r really old

 

Should i remove the Gamez Launcher too?

I don't think i have the original item.pak either lol

 

actually if ur launcher is installed properly, they wont have to install it, just need to make a shortcut on the desktop. so leave it there xD

Are you downloading the correct file? i made a mistake earlier and had to re-upload the file.

So the previous one isn't being seeded

 

i thought maybe it was my firewall but when i checked all ports for utorrent were allowed. i also did as you said and set bandwidth allocation to high.
