FAQ: The new player questions and answers.

I get asked most of these on a daily sort of basis, and while it can get old to answer these over and over again I feel like a lot of players get put off when they are just starting out. I'll start with this list and add too it as more arise. I'll also try to answer other questions and take suggestions for this list. So, please suggest items ^^.

Q"What is a stigma? Where do I get stigmas?"

Stigmas are abilities. These are how you customize the play style of your character. All stigmas are obtainable in the Cloister of Kaisenal (You can reach the temple through Kaisinel's Teleport Statue in the Exalted Path.) The stigmas are purchasable with kinah from NPC's in that room. They have korean characters as menu items, so just pick the first option on top when you talk to them, then go to the stigma tab at the top.

Q."What stigma should I use?"

Q."How do I get stigma shards?"
A. There are many ways to do this. My preferred method is to make a character and level it up to 20 and complete the stigma quest (A Sliver of Darkness - Aion Quest - aiondatabase.com for ely, http://www.aiondatabase.com/quest/2900/no-escaping-destiny for asmo). Then delete the character after you get your shards. Otherwise you can trade/purchase them from players or farm them in Reshanta and Gelk/Ingg.



Q."How do I dye my armor?"
A. In your chat, type ".dye " followed by the name of the color or html color code (HTML Color Picker use the codes you find here)
Examples:
.dye true black
.dye 000000
Both of those produce the same color. This function dyes EVERYTHING you are wearing (even things that normally aren't able to be dyed.) Keep in mind this function costs 10,000,0000 kinah each time you use it.



Q." What is armsfusion?"
A. I usually end up pointing this one out to people rather than being questioned. This guide sums it up nicely Armsfusion | Game Guide | Aion Online Keep in mind the only the weapon on top keeps the godstone. There is no need to enchant the weapon going on the bottom.



Q. "How do I get ap?"
A. You must kill players of the opposing faction, or kill balaur in certain areas. Killing balaur isn't recommended as the ap gain is trivial.



Q." What is VIP/Why do I need VIP?"
A. VIP is a gamezaion player reward that allows you to trade un-tradeable items along with increased gain in ap, kinah, exp, and drop rates. More info on this can be found on the main site where you log in.



Q. "PLS SIR KINAH?"
A. No.

 

Sticky sticky!, I've already suggested that they remove the AP stigma sellers coz people think they have to earn ap for stigmas still.

 

The worse things in the world are the kinah beggers... Albeit the best story of my life is I gave someone 1 Kinnah and he gave me all of this low level garbage which I vendored for 36k Kinah. Ah the joys of reaping a nice profit from some sorry sap.

A: You don't there are no droplists so you'll have to vote for half a year to get anything proper, or donate.

 

I had that almost verbatim but decided to leave it out until we see what the 2.7 update changes. Trying to be helpful w/o crushing peoples hopes lol >_>
