I'm almost positive the limit can be removed, removing it will harm no one, and stop 99% of scams. I personally haven't been scammed before but it would be a bitch to see my hard-earned money go to waste.

Feel free to discuss the topic here, but I don't there there is anything to discuss, lol.

Removing the cap - have advantage and disadvantage.
Advantage - stop the scam from happening.
Disadvantage - high flow of kinah around the world, which would destroy the whole game economy.

...This isn't even possible, this isn't the real life economy.

Having the limit isn't affecting trades one bit, people are still trading at 1b / 2b a time, it's just the 2% that lose their money and forget to take a screenshot.

    1,000,000,000 (1bil).
Some people don't know that you can insert 999,999,999 two times for 1,999,999,998 (2bil).

i believe that the problem with this is, that when u sell stuff, and get an excessive ammount, it becomes negative, when this was adressed b4 that was the problem, is that it would give the person negative kinah

Well that's a bug. And it's simple math so it shouldn't be anything too difficult.

a few test wont hurt. but if the staff already tried this, then i guess we will just have to live with the 1b cap. :)

Let's see what zer0 has to say about that bug.

---------- Post added at 10:12 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:44 AM ----------

I should have enabled "Show names of players who voted".

That way we can tell who the scammers are.

Why wouldn't they? Surely they'd take a small stand against something that will stop them from scamming.

It's just how it's coded. Number needs to be bumped from 8 to 16 or 16 to 32 bit. I'm no programmer so it doesn't make sense to me, but I've seen this before in multiple games. Mind you, said other games set a cap rather than causing negatives. :p

I agree with bones, make the limit at 4,999,999 for starters.
Removing the cap completelly will screw the economy up for some time.
At start tribunus and AGB item prices will go very high as people will want to take advantage of that trading system.
15 days to 1 month later max people will realise that items will bring balance themselves.
Credits to kinah will be the base of balancing and not the limit of kinah.
Then the GMs should remove completelly the limit as it will be safe enough.

However i don't really know if the developers will be on time to keep a time limit to make such a move. It's pretty possible that matters irl or just luck of organisation will make things go in terrible delays.
So another solution will be to remove the limit from start and just let us see how the economy goes.

In any case it's a very nice idea for anti-scam measures and avoiding missunderstandings.

Wel as far i can tell you get the negative already with 2B and lets say the cap is removed.
What then ABG is already been trade for 8 bil (i know been middelman sometimes)
What you think it will kost then after few days 20 bil then there wil be 10 to 50 threads QQ about the price are to high. (This happend already when event price where only kinnah i know)
And then there will be a lot of people who say it need to be reversed so at the end it will do nothing good only for a some time this while have affect.(and brings more trouble then something goods.)

it wont, cos players are smart enough to know that ABG = 2000 credits
1000 credits is for bolvings love that sells for what, 500m to 1b?
even voting takes like 1 month or less to make these credits, rather easier than gathering kinah to buy then ingame.
and believe me, people get always smart when it comes to spending.
the economy will never get so imbalanced im 100% sure of it.

zweistein; I'm sorry, but you're just plain stupid.

There is no such thing as an "economy" in Aion, now stop trying to make a scene on something particularly useless.
