Just finished watching the first movie... impressively well done, considering the original material. The story and moments were cut down and modified to make it fit and have some sense in 2 hours feature.

I enjoyed it quite a lot to be honest... guess is worth recomend it for those that like the manga, which is awesome.

Serious lack of flashy combat.
I enjoyed the melons and gory stuff though.

 

anime (uncensored) > live movie.

Thanks for the reccomendation, Dmax. I read the Manga, it's great. Hope the movie isn't too bad, not sure how they made it fit into two hours.

 

They only made them battle 3 guys (Onion man, the robot, and the statue)

No problemo... the manga is incredible specially the first 7 - 9 volumes... later it fall in some cliches... but is still very good, bloody, violent, sexual, and over the top gory.. XD

Aint a bad movie... entertains and does what it has to do.

there is a second movie though... straight continuation of this one... this one I advice that it has nothing to do with the manga except the name and designs... and some chars that appear quite late in the series.

I really enjoyed the manga, and the anime was ok. : )
I look foward to this one. I picked a dubbed version, might have been a bad idea, but we'll see.

I actually heard about the movie about 10 months ago, but I only remember that the release date was a long time coming. o.o

I saw the first 5 mins (train station) and I totally remember the manga. They're leaving out a lot already! wtf!
