So tonight some girl asked me if I'd get her pregnant x.x. First of all, NO I am not her boyfriend.

She's looking for all the wrong things in all the wrong places. Do not subject yourself to the crazy whims of another when there's a CHILD involved. That's asking for another person...a living being...Asking YOU to be a parent. It's not something flippant or to be taken lightly. Even if she were asking you to be a donor sperm, it's a serious matter that shouldn't just be dumped in someone's lap. And if she's the type of person that would dump that into another's lap...she probably doesn't need a kid.

Well there must be an underlying psychological curiosity for this to occur, or she is litterally trolling you... and for that level of trolling I commend her =p

I'm not saying she is psycho/etc. But oftentimes something like this, if it is not trolling (and even then, trolls are usually... psychologically interesting), then there may be something else that is... interesting.

Anyway, I dunno, up to now shes been a pretty good friend and yes I'm very aware of what it means for someone to have a kid, I personally don't ever plan on having a kid before the age of 25+ if ever. I'm certainly not in the financial state to support a kid or especially a family for that matter and I don't want to be with this person for life.

If I did happen to do it, I have Ned Stark's honor in me so I'd have to stick with her, so obviously I'm not going to, just wondering how to get away without hurting her in the process.

A long time ago we were supposed to move into an apartment together (AS FRIENDS)

She really wants to get out of her house but her parents are like batshit crazy and uptight so they don't really let her spend her money on anything

So apparently her mom told her that if she gets preggo she'll be kicked out of the house, but she has the idea that her mom will be happy

With all this in mind she wants me to get her preggo so she can be kicked out and live with me (which is probably essentially the start of major clingyness and her wanting me to be a dad) and live some fairy tale Sansa Stark life.

I love how Aegis is being so nice today. 'Psychologically interesting'...he means a little bit crazy. Needy. Perhaps abandoned by her father? Most often young girls who suddenly just have the NEED to get pregnant to the point they'll ask somebody 'hey can you point that over here and fire some baby bullets please?' they're feeling a 'hole' in their lives that they want to fill with what is believed as someone that HAS to love them. A baby can't run away or emotionally hurt you...you can snuggle it and love it and fk it over and it'll keep crying for momma. It's not healthy. Period. And you just said you can't do what you need to do in order to be a healthy father, at least right now. So you're making the right decision.

Honesty is always the easiest way to deal with things...even if she gets pissed and says she hates you. Just say look; I don't want to be a father. Be firm, but honest and if she starts pressuring you just hold up your hands and be like 'you DO realize you're trying to MAKE me have sex with you right?' And if that doesn't make her blink and apologize, then she probably has a few screws loose and hurting/not hurting her isn't something you can really help so just try and walk away with your head held high, knowing you didn't bring a kid into this world that will need therapy by the time s/he is 6.

And if you want to be a super good guy and try to appear like you understand. Go get her a kitten from a shelter, or a puppy...or even a hamster or a goldfish. Be like 'here...I can't be what you want of me right now, but here's me trying to understand your needs and wanting you to be happy.' Kittens/puppies/etc. are awesome no matter what is going on.


EDIT: Saw the reasoning behind and it OH JEEZE LAWEEZE. No no no no no no...for crap's sake is she thinking about the KID at all?? Let's say for argument's sake that it goes down how her mom says it will (WHICH IT WILL NOT! Most likely her mother would fight her for custody of the child and make him/her life a living heck too!) and she gets kicked out and can live with you and........... She's supposed to know how to make a child's life grand and well adjusted...how? For that matter, no matter if she gets kicked out or not, those are still going to be her parents and vicariously the kid's grandparents. Do you think they won't want to breeze in and crazy up the life of their grandchild? *headshake* Seriously just no...I gotta go bang my head on a wall now.
