Hair color : Helmet color

I don't think I've seen anyone else post about this, so here it goes.
Does anyone else have a problem with dying headgear? I mean, when I dye a piece of headgear white
.dye true white
My headgear turns out looking like a very light pink color.
And if I dye it black then it comes out looking like a really dark magenta.
It has to be because of my hair color (purple), because before when I had black hair, I had no problems with dying my headgear.
Now, whenever I dye my headgear, it turns into a purple/pink ish tint.
It's not a big problem, It's just annoying because I'd like to have a flat black mask to fit the rest of my armor, but instead, it's dark dark purple.
Anyone know how to get around this problem?

I'm asking because the other day, after the 2.7 update, my mask was pure white. No pink whatsoever. Then I decided to dye it to black because I figured the problem was fixed, and it went back to having a pinkish tint.
Please help. Thanks!

 

Some items have pieces with pre-defined colors. Cant give you an example atm... There are parts of them that just can't be dyed.

 

Yeah, but I know for a fact that I can dye this piece black, because I've transferred it to other characters of mine that have black hair, and it looks pitch black. I only started having problems when I decided to make my hair purple. >_<

 

Are those character with the same gender? ex. ABG Cloth can be fully dyed on male but not on female chars.

 

Yeah, same gender. ABG Hat remo to NWDK Mask.

 

Not sure if it's client-sided problem but I suggest you to try repairing the client.

Already tried these two, which is both true white and true black. Several times. Doesn't work >_<
