Donation Refund

I emailed you guys 3 times plus pmed Co-Admin about refunding my donation money.
I know many of you will say, "But donation means,giving and expect nothing in return"...But you are wrong. The reason any server (L2,WoW,Aion) will call it "donation" is because they will have the copyright cops all over their a$$es for taking money on something illegal.
The server is constantly having lag spikes, no development is taking place and I am pretty sure for that, you have no community support,with some exceptions, and therefore, you do not deserve my hard-earned money, at least at the time being. If you don't want to refund me, thats OK, I will use my legal rights and contact PayPal about this situation.
I do expect an answer, so as I know where you guys stand on this and hope that at least this thread will draw your attention, even though I believe you don't reply on purpose.

 

Just refund already. It will most likely go through. You MIGHT be banned (emphasis on the might) but you will get your money back

 

i wonder if you know that donations are a gift and unless you're the kind of asshole that take gifts away after you give them.. go ahead and try ^_^ <3 o and BTW if you think nothing is being worked on please feel free to do the work yourself :3

I beg to differ on that last part D:. But if he feels they aren't using his money properly, he has every right to take it away.

 

I use PayPal with my credit card so the donations are already billed there. So I ask to send me the exact ammount of money I send them (I do have the transaction information and everything ofc).The thing that buggers me the most is that they didn't have the curtesy to reply to my emails and I know they've been online.
As far as the ban story goes, thats fine by me, I do not intend to play on this server anymore, at least until some things get fixed.

I do have a bachelor on computer science so I beg to differ...Have you tried any other server? And although they reduced the lag, older problems came up
so one step foward,two steps back.....
Plus I explained why they call it a donation...

 

Donating is like giving a gift to the server to keep it up >_> they're not forced to give you something back when you donate but they do it anyways, for example when you "Donate/Gift/give" money to a charity or a foundation you often get a letter or something in the mail saying "Thank you". but in this case you get Credits as a thank you to that you can also spend to get items in game as you like, and here ill give you a rl example of what ppl that take donations back are like .

Lets say you donated 200$ for a charity through paypal, But you don't get my cookies in the mail, so as the mighty fine gentleman you are, you go ahead and refund your donation.

and if you do have a bachelors in computer science how about you become a Dev and help the server or you could just wait and see how things go.

Alright I'm tired of ppl saying this server sucks and craving refunds but to be fair most of you who say so doesn't seem to know anything about running or developing on a server this scale so here's my little rant lol

So you go to churches give them a donation and then take it back saying "You didn't do shit with my money so I'm taking it back"? Cause to be fair that's basically what you saying seeing as changes do take time, development takes time. Sure it's easy putting up a server saying "Alright go ahead and play I ain't putting time to fix bugs and that stuff" cause that's what you're getting without donations...

Alright I know I might be flamed now but it's optional to donate your money for improved development and to be fair it takes motivation to develop something... Usually knowing people will appreciate the fixes is enough but sometimes knowing that the fixes that are brought forth brings in donations that will keep the server up and running for more fixes is also great... (Also not saying that's what's going on but that's how I've felt when developing anything at all... No one is playing or donating so server is shutting down cause of lack of donations so what's the point in doing anything? Lol)

It doesn't take a day to fix something it can take weeks depending on how large the issue is. For example it could take weeks to find the reason a server keeps crashing just to find out it's something REALLY simple like a bugged item (it's really annoying tho spending hours searching for the problem and then going "OOOH You gotta be kidding me..." lol at least that was my reaction most of the time.)

Another thing is that I've seen people complaining about "Why doesn't he upgrade" and bla bla bla... And saying that "Carl got so much money with work and such" for example but one thing I gotta say to those who thinks and have said so in the past and present is... Ain't Carl human? Doesn't he need food and pay the bills? Too be fair if you ask me the only money Carl is putting into the server is what he gets from donations at the moment and maybe what little is left after paying bills and getting food.

Also everyone should remember that all the GM's, Developers and Moderators are doing this for free. So specially towards fixes such as lag issues and bugged skills don't complain they're not getting payed to do it after all. So here's my suggestion if you can't wait and have patience for a fix then move your ass and fix it yourself and then propose your own fix to them...

Sorry for that but I'm all good now. ^^ I just hope people will reconsider before complaining. ^^

 

Anyone can refund if they feel they want to. The way carl set it up is horrendous. And we all know that none of that money actualy goes into the server. Its more obvious than ever.

Oh, and those people can get unbanned since I have seen speedhackers get away after admitting they do it simply because they donated. Refunds are bad, and a banned donator will refund for sure, so they tend to avoid that

OK,first of all you are still comparing a COMPUTER to a CHURCH...snap out of it!
You make me look like a child molester or something.
What you described is a trade with a DONATION tag all over it.
That does not mean its a donation. I ask you to read why the title donation is given to this thing
and I suggest you read about it on the internet.
So taking in account that this is a transaction and surely Im not a happy customer I demand my money.
Simple as that.
About the dev thing, I do have other important things to do but I have already developed a L2J server in the past
just not my thing.
