No wonder their accounts are hacked. If they would learn the basic math( trading now is a headacke) or the basic guidelines in an mmorpg probably they wouldnt be so stupid. But seriosly i dont feel sorry for them. With all the rules listed here in the forum and the announcements ingame they still log on to weird sites giving the user and pass for their account becouse they want a bilion abg items .

Its not actually like that... Some LEGIT owners of FULL ABG Items do actually have Antivirus installed, and follow all the rules and is like Ladien said

If it happened to you how would you feel? And then have a GM tell you its your responsibility and accused you of entering sites or having hacks or sharing your account when you know its not true.. Tell Me how would you feel????

This Suggestion thread is for making NEW POLICIES AGAINST HACKERS... Not defending them.... because that is actually what the policy does. Encourage hackers to continue hacking accounts because they will not get caught... Since GMs don't do anything about it...

    Dude, he was being sarcastic....

This is a PServer, you donate knowing that this server can die at any moment so why not think you might get hacked at any moment?

If it was Retail then yeah, i would understand your suggestion but it just plain isn't.

actually like 95% of "hacked" accounts on mmos r due to account sharing

brute force attacks r rare as hacking any password of 8 symbols or above takes about a year (7 and below can be brute forced in under an hour on an average pc). as long as ur password is long enough and isnt a plain english word (dictionary attacks r fast and work on long passwords), u wont get hacked this way

most keyloggers come from 3rd party "hacks" that grab ur login, again, thats u being stupid

You have a GREAT point here... and I agree with you on this post.. But still the only reason things like this keep coming is because they are allowed... Legit gamers will quit sooner or later as this things happen, sad but true.... :(

My, My, What a long read of 5 pages. o_O

I should whack you with an infraction for somewhat advertising <Points to Red Text> instead of directly sending a PM out to Alente or Carl.

As mine has not been either. If you rely on us every split second then you'll never learn. Gamez can only shelter and remind players so much, anything outside of what said in game for the announcements and on the player's control.

There is an announcement ingame. It pops up in the middle of my screen a few times an hour but you can't always put all the precaution on the staff either. We are not your mommy or daddy to hold your hand through everything. So the players need to learn to use there own common sense when it comes to this.

If we kept logs of every that went on in game, the file it self would be huge. Hence why we ask you, the players, to be an adult and take proof and precautions with trading and/or talking to players.

The only person who'd need access to logs would only be Alente or Carl, anyhow. Carl's just not gonna hand out that access to anybody on his staff team, either.

    Just simply re-quoting....

Simply re-quoting since it has some truth in it.

Now on to my final statement before I close this thread...

You are and will be held responsible for what you do to your account, regardless. Staff members will NOT teamviewer your computer or any players computer to verify if it was something you downloaded or if you truly got hacked or etc..

Start with investigating the player first, ask around, make sure you covered all your steps... We the STAFF MEMBERS will not stand over your shoulder every aching second of the day telling a player " oh no, don't do that" or "No you shouldn't download that"

For those who may have legit claims of being hacked and say they have a clean pc cause they have an antivirus... Keep in mind that every, and I mean every antivirus as a loop hole. So don't always think that just because you have an antivirus you are completely safe.

I use AVAST! antivirus but I still go to fsecure.com few times a month to make sure my antivirus does it's job.. I suggest every one use that site.. They have a online scanner in which i've use for over 4yrs... I actually got word of this site by several hackers...

-closing, and sorry for those who's been a victim of this horrible action-

Please take special precaution from here on out.
