Server going downhill?

hey heres a thought, how bout instead of criticizing we try to come up with something more productive? there r enough depressing "server going down" threads around as it is, they really arent helping any1, just result in more flame threads.

 

Thay have a test server for that and I belive with same database/stats where they check if everything works.
Fact that on the public server everything lags and crashes is partly besouse people abuse bugs and use hacks and dupe items like crazy.

 

The source of my logic and observation is not on the donation-loyalty / item link. My opinion on the maturity of some of the donor (to some extend the community) come from the way they interact within forum..what they write, how they request thing, or even how they flame. I played few mmorpg over the years and at least that is what strike me when i came across the forum here.

I think for what is working on gamez aion its come along way...people have to remeber its hard to keep up with retail gamez only has a small number of devs while ncsoft has a army of devs. but gamez will have alot of things fixed in due time.

Speaking of coding i will be testing pts soon so if devs want me to run a sniffer to collect packets let me know

Trying to split an item without a valid object reference (I.E. Item Duping).

Now that Carls giving me access to the server logs I can start looking into this. At the very least we can start handling the errors more gracefully and log'ing them to a file instead of having the VM process an exception. Could be part of the issue with server stability just because of the sheer number of people trying to cheat.

I heard the server is literally back to square 1 with almost all the same bugs and issues back then. Its as if you rolled back a whole 2 months. Confirm/deny?

my wind pet is doing 1.6/1.7k dmg unbuffed to a 55 geared abyss templar....

 

A lot of things seem to be working like when I started at the end of June, steel rake entrance is gone again AP bugs etc. I didn't wanna say anything but... It's like they took a few steps forward then landed on go to jail, if you pass go do not collect $200 etc.. -.-

Yeah, and I joined in mid June and the crashes and the Ap premium bug and everything reeks of square 1. I guess it was just a massive rollback of bug fixes and stuff

I was talking about the bugs, but I guess you could compare the crashes back then to the crashes now. but back then the economy was...well an economy. Now it is shot to hell lol

I just checked and I am not banned. And I wasn't trolling. I was making an observation that somehow everything (well most everything) that was done in the last 2 months has just somehow been wiped clean.

 

there always gunna be bugs till they get worked out....

its a process now zp feels they got a stable core... then they gotta repatch what they have fixed and then some which takes time.
