Final Fantasy

Of the many games made in the Final Fantasy series, which were your top 3 favorite, and why?

Personally this is a hard question for me, seeing as how many of them have such amazing features.

My first pick would be generic and say 7, just because it's FF7. Enough said.

My second would have to be Final Fantasy 3, simply because of the story line and amazing game play.

My third pick would probably have to be 8. I love the "Draw" system, the card game, and the battle system in it. (As I told Gracie, I'm a total fan of great battle systems)

I think FFX would be a close battle with 8, though, seeing as how it's story line was great as well, and of course, it's battles were even better.

Your thoughts?

I would say 7 is my altime favourite. Followed by 10 and then 13. 12 was also a very good one. I liked the gambit alot.

i dont play ff 6 and lowers cus the graphics sux xD

 

For 6 and lower the game play and story lines way more than made up for the graphics, in my opinion.

 

yes, many ppl said that, but you know, i bought the cds and tried to play FF-VI years ago after i finished ff7. but i couldnt enjoy it >_<
but i love the musics tho, I'm a fan of Nobuo Uematsu, sad to see him left

 

FFX and FF8 the best! pure epic rpg game.

1) Final Fantasy VIII

this one has a special place in my heart, it was the first time I had played the series, I love the character development the story, the romance and i still have a crush on emo Squall. I remember watching the cut scenes and thinking "wow someday they'll have videogames that look like this"

2) Final Fantasy IX

Again great character development, it was fun and silly the trance system kinda sucked but still another one of my favorite games ever, imo one of the best soundtracks also.

3) Final Fantasy IV

Years later i decided to go back and play the older games from the series and i wasn't disappointed, the graphics don't matter, its like reading an epic book but you get to kill stuff in between, Kain is such a boss.

the last game in the series i played was Final Fantasy XII...this game made me want to cry...the main character was less than lovable the only romance was between a stupid princess and her already dead husband which made me feel nothing. the game drags...you can't sense much friendship between the cast aside from Fran and Balthier (but he was a total D-bag so who cares). the ending was extremely lame and unsatisfying!! i could barely stand to watch the cut scenes, the way they spoke was just annoying and it was all just blah blah blah crap about politics, all the magic from the other games was gone...the death of Squaresoft marked the death of Final Fantasy for me, Square Enix will never be able to to redeem themselves...wow im really nerdy.

 

I started FF12 but got distracted by FF7/8/10. I'm gonna try to get through it again when I finish 10, I think. xD
