greatsword

i have abg greatsword,and i want to ask who is better with it(templar or gladiator)?who has better use of it?

 

Sorcerers and rangers.

glads use greatswords for more speed, templars actually require one to do more damage.

 

I don't think there is an absolute anwser here, gladis and templars can both use greatsword well. The difference is that templars can only use greatswords and gladis can use greatsword and spears.

 

i want to ask:can templar kill fast with greatsword like gladiator?

 

Templars steady flow of dps is not as high as a gladiator, but you have alot more defense.
They dish out looooots of damage in 1 hit though with their cookie cutting skill called breakpower making them able to kill fine.

 

Its useless for either of them. You are gonna need an athanas fate greatsword=templar or an athanas fate spear=glad.

This answers your question completely,you may now get rid of that useless greatsword.

 

Everyone is entitled to an own opinion and i don't think abg greatswords are useless by any means, not to mention that athana's fate weapons are rough to get.

 

After 2.7 athana's fate items had a stats boost,this is the comparison Aion Item Comparison - aiondatabase.com of the 2 items. You see ABG is better,but not THAT much better. And With the stat boost of athana's fate and the extend ability (7 meters) athana's definitely is the winner. I'd even pick lannok over an abg greatsword. I have all types of greatswords on my templar (yes all,i only dont have tac,too expensive+useless) and i have tried them in battle. ABG Gives a better dmg output,but what can i do with the better dmg if my enemy is out of range? With athana's fate i get a good dmg+ i almost never fail to hit the opponent. I pick athanas. But yes everyone has an opinion ^_^

 

Aye ofcourse i won't deny that it's better in most situations but dishing out bigger breakpowers with abg is fun too.

 

I dont really remember the exact stats of athana before 2.7 but i think it was like lannok (low parry low accuracy low min max dmg) but after the update its seriously badass. But yes abg hits high break power^^

I had a legion mate who was retail player when gamez was still 2.5 and he told us that athana gets a seriously big boost by 2.7. And when the shop came i bought the items and waited. And yes he was right^^ now they extend and they also have stats like abg or masta (almost).

I cant recall anymore but,that guy told us that it had a boost by 2.7 because of the future updates of athana's fate weapons. Fabled to noble or fuse matters. I cant really remember now,something like that.

 

Templars use it for better damage.
Gladiators use it for speed, but their damage is lower. For higher damage you should use spear.
If you want both good speed and damage with the greatsword you gotta learn to weave with it(not easy). ;]
