Don't get mad at me, people that decide to play on a private server should do some searching around the forum to find out where it's hosted, if they care so much about ping.

 

Didn't get mad dw lol, i just dislike selfishness. Telling ppl to leave while you are not even playing in the server? I mean cmon.. -.-

 

Selfish? Me? You're asking Gamez to switch hosts just so you (and every other EU/relatively close to EU player) can get better ping. There's nothing else that's going to benefit from this, except peoples ping.

Now tell me again, who's the selfish one(s)?

 

My ping is already 300~400, if the host server goes to Europe, I'll get like 1k ms |:

I'm selfish when i ask for the server to be moved to Europe so everyone can play with a better ping and you are not selfish when you ask for the server to stay in the US so you can have 20 ping and us 500?

We are more than you (Don't deny it, you know that if it moves to europe lots of players will join.)
The ping for us will drop by like 350 while yours will be raised by like 150-200 (So you'll have like 200-250 and we'll have like 100-150)
The Asians' ping also will be way better (Well not better at all for indonesians who are on the right side of the map for example, it'll be the same. But for the rest, like russians and arabs, it will surely be.

"Selfish" is when you don't care about the majority and want the best for yourself, not when you are included in the majority.

Our numbers may be equal now just because more than half of us left due to reasons like this lag..

150-200 is slow. Only sorcs will be playable with that ping at least for me. And also, how do you know that the pings that you just said are likely to be real? Aren't they based on assumption?

 

You compare the connection of an American with the connection of a Greek or a Romanian for example?

The maximum speed we can get here is 24mbps and that's because we're in the middle of greece, in the capital. In some places, like where i was born(Rhodes) the maximum is 8. While in the US it's 100+...
You're all greedy and selfish, none of you will admit it.
Only in countries like Germany or England there are fast connections, which is why we want the server to be hosted from there.
And what i said is based on what i see. On IA i got 100 ping and in gamez 600, screw it bro.

 

No, see, I'd still have the same answer if they were in EU and someone decided to make a poll about moving it to NA. There's absolutely NO benefit of doing this, the only outcome would be a loss in money. Also, you honestly think it'll attract more players? People leave because of the donating system, zergs, and imbalanced class issues, not because of the ping, atleast not anyone I've met. I'm not worried about my ping, I'm thinking about the server in a whole, not just the players and how to cater to them.

 

I would say I am selfish. I won't deny that, I don't wanna play with high pings anymore I used to have 450ms average ping. I wouldn't want my ping to go up lol. Who does? after experiencing to play with low pings you wouldn't wanna go back high pings especially because gladiator is my main class. Glads are pretty much useless with high pings. If I play sorc I wouldn't mind having high ping but since I'm playing gladiator I do mind.

How much does it cost to move the Server to another host? Tell me...
Carl will get much more from the new players who will donate. Don't forget, not every old player donates monthly, most of them just buy the gear and that's it, they vote for vip etc. While new players will need items and will donate more.. >.> And yes the low ping will attract lots of good players... because to be honest, i'm one of the stupid players who stayed for that long in a server with such ping. Whoever had a brain, left already. But believe what you want, i'm done with this subject... as i said earlier, making suggestions to this community makes no sense, they are all being ignored.

We both know Carl gives a shit about player's opinion anyways... If he wants to keep the server in US, cool for me, if not I'd have to look for another server, that is all

 

We can argue back and forth about a new player base resulting from the switch, but it's up to Carl to take the chance, and I'd leave it how it is if I were in his position. Also, money loss is still money loss, no matter the quantity.

If they do look at this, and go by the poll, you'll get your wish. I just like putting my quarter into the machine to see what comes out.

 

That's the point, we need human logic, if your opinion is going to be negative then explain why. Saying "No because i have high ping and it'll get highier" while others already got worse than that ping then saying "No i'm not selfish" does not make sense for me.

And yes carl doesn't care i know that, and that's why i am going to leave this conversation.

That's the problem. Carl is not willing to sacrifice 1 percent of his.. monthly income let's say, to try and make a better server to get more donations, he just.. won't risk it. Seems to me like he's going to get as many donations as possible from the few ppl that will come everytime a new update is applied and donate for gear until the server dies.

 

Well, I gave my opinion, I just didn't feel like it needed to be justified.. seeing how suggestions are overlooked and all. I do enjoy casual debates, though.

 

The Brazilians will have much higher ping, the peenoys would just keep zerging with slightly lesser ping, americans and canadians would have a slight increase, europeans would be happy(tbh i dont think there is that many who play)

Server right now is in middle of BR and peenoys (majority on this server)

Voted No for the sake of keeping the ping even between br and peenoys

A fabled Crystal player has appeared!

I play with 260~ ms (160~ with WTFast) and live in Scandinavia. Without WTFast I can't seem to play my Gladiator/Assassin at all, have to wait like 0.5-1 second between skills even though I hit the button like a mad man. Seeing some crazy videos with people doing 4 knock down trigger skills on like 1-1.5s total - or Fang Strike combo in the blink of an eye. This thread and these posts gave me the thought of leaving for a european server - maybe many others got this thought also? However, I've played on Crystal for a long time and I have most of what I want, and 30 players online is a good day there! ^-^' I don't feel like leaving friends, though
