0x000007b error

Been playing retail Aion for a while now and nothing has been wrong.

Downloaded the gamezaion launcher and get the good old
0x000007b error.

Any Ideas?

Tbh i cant remember seeing that error ever myself... so i am pretty sure the problem is on your end.

If you followed the how to connect guide correctly then the problem shouldnt be in the aion files, settings (like region) or launcher either.

So:
* are your drivers (videocard, sound, etc) uptodate?
* is directx uptodate?
* stuff like that...

 

Like I said, I literally just came from playing retail and it works fine. It's an auto error from the gamezaion launcher.

 

That doesnt matter... there are some things that you may need to change before you can play here (this is a private server, not retail). Make sure you follow the instructions of the guide.

I am not an expert in any sense, but there are 1000's of people playing on GA and they all use that launcher :wink:

 

I'm just a lilmad that I'm the only one getting this error apparently, haha. I heard good things about GA and I wanna see if they were right =<.

P.s I've redownloaded the GA launcher a total of 7 times. If that helps anyone.

 

did you try and repair Aion with the Aion launcher? sometimes that helps with some weird probs you get

 

Quite literally just did that. It updated. But still same error.

 

It is a nice server... i am playing here since may 2010. Currently the server has some problems since they updated to 1.9 (some broken skills, memoryleaks, etc) but the devs do their best to solve that.

I hope you can fix the error (i am out of options) so that you can see it for yourself :love:

 

what OS do you use?

 

Windows 7, 64 bit.

 

i heard that for some things win7 64 gives a lot of trouble, did you try running it as admin? or making sure that the right graphics drivers are installed, read that windows 7 sometimes installs the wrong drivers and gives a lot of problems to the users like running games for example

edit: could also be your registry is messed up or something, saw that when i was googling your error

 

My drivers are fine, I've been running retail for almost 7 months now. And running as admin has the same effect. If any techs see this/anyone who has had the same problem and fixed it, PLEASE post.

 

ya, sorry i couldnt be of any more help, tried looking for it, but all i find is about the registry and reformatting and other win7 stuff, but nothing specifically for Aion itself, sorry man, hope you get your prob fixed

 

Thanks brah, I'm just hopin an admin sees this and recognizes it miraculously.

 

Right click > Properties > Compatibilty,
change the compatibility mode to "Windows XP Service Pack 2".

Same result, unfortunately.

Keep the ideas comin people, I'm game for anything.

 

Do a complete reinstall and copy the file over to another folder like my computer, run launcher and install it in the copy. Run the launcher after youve updated and everything and it should work.

Also check your crysystem.dll IP address before this.
It should be 1910.414.518.2720

Step 1: Download the .rar
Step 2: Extract the files into your Gamez Aion folder.
Step 3: Start the .bat file. "Start Gamez Aion"
