    Trying to be a smartass? Everyday everynight people are starving, people die every second around the world. But why would I not want to be happy during christmas season just because of that reason? Christmas is not about food and drinking, if you look it that way or used to celebrate it before you became a "non-believer", then ur one of those fools you talk about not knowing the real meaning of it. Yes it is a commercially profitable season but who cares? Long as I am eating in front of my family having fun, getting together.
    Read again smartass
    where is your country? do your beliefs represent your whole country? Not. Do you celebrate christmas? Not. Then why are you posting in this thread trying to derail it into a debate of what you don't believe.

    lmao yeah, apparently, he was born in april or some crap.

    and yeah, whatever, people celebrate christmas however they want to.
    on the streets, with their family, by themselves, could make less of a difference.
    i could care less about what the whole event is about because i personally find the birth of jesus, no offence, quite bull;

    HE WASNT EVEN BORN ON THE 25TH OF DECEMBER ANYWAAAAYS.

    i only 'celebrate' it cause of free food and presents lol.

    Actually, as the majority of christians in Egypt belong to orthodox Coptic church Christmas is celebrated on the 7th of January in Egypt equals the 29th of the Coptic month ''Khiahk'' ? i think lol..
    Advent is observed for hmm 35-45 days ( Not sure ) from November 25th to January 2nd-6th and during these days people fast eating meat, poultry or dairy products
    Before the Christmas.. People decorate churches and their homes with Christmas trees and lights =)
    On the evening of the Christmas every body goes to Church,the Coptic language is used in the church ceremonies and religious songs in the majestic Cathedral of Saint mark in Cairo.
    Pope of the Orthodox church begins Christmas ceremonies at 11 p.m. which are broadcast on television throughout the nation.
    When the Christmas service ends people go home to eat a special Christmas meal known as fata which consists of rice, bread, garlic and meat soup. And finally on Christmas morning people in Egypt visit friends and neighbors carrying special kind of sweet called Kahk xD which is also eaten by Muslims when they celebrate the feast of Eid-Al-Fetr after Ramadan.
    And ofc Egyptians celebrate their feasts they go out to enjoy the holiday in parks, cinemas and theatres.
    I just want to add smth, Christmas in Egypt is a joyful occasion that is celebrated by Christians and well respected by Muslims.

    Rather than spending money on gifts for all your friends and relatives, I'd rather spend my money on something better or something I want. Why? Why wait for Christmas nor birthdays or any special occasion to spend gifts where you can gift all your relatives and love ones in any day you want? Why wait for Christmas or any special occasion where you can make any day special? I dont/never celebrated any holidays because I celebrate them or make any day special for someone and for everyone :D
