Dislike Button

You all know very well that most of the arguments start because of someone's negative comment.

Personally, i'm tired of getting Infracted for stating my "Negative" Opinion in certain threads.
I'm tired of the <...>s reporting my posts because they only want to hear positive things about the content.

So i was thinking.. why don't we just get a Dislike button? So we can... express our opinion without... offending/hurting anyone's feelings. (-.-)

Believe me, the Dislike button will reduce the Flaming, this is not the first forum i've used, i have experience.

If you agree then good! If not, too bad.. also explaining why would be nice. Thanks!

When you like a Post, your name is Displayed. Why would your name be hidden if you Disliked it?
I don't agree with that of course, if the name is going to be hidden then no, better without a button.
The point of this is to simply say if you like or dislike a post without having to say something that would possibly offend anyone.

The button will be instead of the post. You prefer ppl to spam posts and offend others instead of simply clicking a dislike button? Meh...

 

trolls will troll anyway coz they enjoy seeing people rage chances r they would spam dislike on everything AND post at the same time

besides, most people like to state their opinion when they disagree, not just disagree

Voting for No always because they either dislike the person or because they want to troll... without posting why.

I take myself as an example. Instead of posting negative comments, whenever i dislike a post, i'll be clicking that button. Unless of course an explanation is required.

Youtube has a Dislike button so people can troll, you're right. And we are smarter than the owners of Youtube so we won't put one, to avoid trolling... right?

 

sorry but we will not add this feature to the forum, people would just abuse of this functionality.

if you want to avoid problems simply think of what you are writting before posting it.

in my opinion i think that it's a great idea, and about trolls erm why don't you name it a way to hmm '' express opinios ''.. lol, so why there are Dislike and Like buttons on youtube ?
Everyone has the right to express his opinion by clicking Like or Dislike and i think that this will make less people argue.

 

and how many dislike spammers does youtube have u wont find a video with over a 100 views without a dislike lol, no matter how great

anyways this isnt youtube, if u want a "like or dislike" on a topic, make a poll, thats what its for. all those dislikes will just make people negative around here

 

I don't see a purpose. I honestly wouldn't care if i had a dislike section under my name stating 9001. I'm not posting to win a popularity contest or something.

 

There's Poll Result and you don't have the right to decide. the community decides not you.

The problems are always caused as i said because of the arguments, and a dislike button would reduce the arguments, plus you could ban abusers of the function anytime. This is not the first Forum i've been in, trust me. Anyways, you know better, i won't insist. Also, thanks for replying =)

Are you saying you want the Dislike button to exist without being used? Because that's what i'm reading...
You want a video with 100 likes and no dislike? Not all people got the same opinion you know...
As i mentioned in my first post, some people make threads and only want positive comments in them, it makes no sense.

Not anymore. Nowadays the Staff only Decides, we make Suggestions only (And sometimes we even get infracted for them), forget it =P

I wanted to add that i believe everyone should post his opinion. If you are not going to post it then there is no point in posting at all..
Telling someone to post positive stuff to avoid problems is like telling someone not to post.. that's how i see it at least.

 

I wouldn't care for it. Like Shunk said; This isn't a popularity contest.
People are still going to reply to comments they feel are negative because it goes against what they say.
I wouldn't care if the "Like" feature got removed either.

This is my opinion of course.
