anyone knows about this problem?

so i want to try playing on retail and i cant connect to any game server
it shows me this error when i chose server
Client's regional code is not compatible with game server

and i dont know how to fix this ( im in europe btw)
so does anyone knows how to fix this
any help would be apreciated

 

yea think i do, delete d3d8thk.dll from ur bin32 folder, its added there by private servers and screws up retail

otherwise make sure u change ur ncsoft region settings to Europe if u wanna play on european servers

 

did you repair the client and tried again?

 

repair doesnt remove extra files that dont belong, think dimi or some1 had this issue when they moved to retail

 

delete ur bin32 and repair ur game.

 

pretty much the same thing as deleting that single file alone anyways if u delete ur whole bin32 folder u lose aion.bin which stops u from repairing it needs it to locate the game

 

are u sure about it? I always did it when i wanted to play on retail.. atleast till 2.7 always worked fine to me.

 

set it to europe again

 

some people had issues coz ncsoft couldnt locate the aion.bin (since u wipe the folder) so it didnt let them repair. i havent tried

i do know that the single dll is whats causing it (besides region settings) so u dont have to wipe the whole folder, just the 1 file

 

i put europe and downloaded aion again didnt wanted to repair anything so i installed it again and dont know why i cant log in

so u wanna play on EU servers right?

did u install the game and THEN change region? if yes, then right click and repair aion

 

i putted europe 1st then installed aion ( does this have something to do that i cant log in -extra command line parameters- )

edit: i repaired client like u said and it works THX MAN

You are trying to connect to North American servers with a European client, or vice versa. Check your Launcher locale settings to make sure you're connecting to the right region.

repair just makes sure the client version matches the servers, then u can connect
