Chat Spam reduction with heavy penalties

Ok so I stopped playing back in dec-jan of last year, all my stuff and creds wiped QQ w/e though...

I'm back and I noticed a giant issue... the spam. Seriously people are spamming in every channel for selling crap and its super annoying.Can there please be people selling in the one channel and have a 10 sec cap on posting to it? any key phrases that relate to selling like wts wtt blah blah blah will get filtered via a script like guildwars and posted into the sell channel.

People not following the rules or disobeying them will have a (##hour account voice mute/ban) so they can still play just cant say anything and a automated survey/letter will be sent to them saying they were banned for spamming. Possibly scripting a specific ban command would automatically send the letter so all the gm's have to do is say like (just guessing but .banmute playername ##*number of hours*)

Honestly no one can really chat anymore, its freaking annoying + all the people begging for stuff is even worse.

they already jail those who spam too much

 

1.You can block people.
2.you can block channels by making your own chatbox.
3. LFG and the other orange/pink/purple channels got a 30 sec "cooldown" so you need to wait 30 sec.

I find this annoying too but I do the same but most people use ALL the channels and yeah I know the feeling. I trade only in LFG nothing else.

 

You can modify the channel options and you will not see that.

 

If your talking about the channel tab options then yeah I would just have no chat what so ever PLUS normal chat would be gone as well. If I could remember how to pull of that special log screen that shows all the chats at full screen then yeah its just spam in normal,1,2,3, and 4 >_>
