Yeah, that too, but I'm not too sure about that other than the price of the South Korean Won dropped in the foreign exchange. Sorry I'm not that well versed at economics...

what i heard about korean wayback when im in school is due to a failure to hold election causing country separated in two division the N. Korea which is the communist and S. Korea on that time it was not clear how he government works. they negotiate but due to lack of negotiation process and not willing to cooperate., the conflict was arise in route/borders and 38th parallel line. the North Korea make an offensive position and move forward to busan and many other place of South Korea. but the U.S. not allowing what N.Korean do coz U.S. know that N.Korea is supported by Soviet Government which is a communist. thru the late Gen. Mc Arthur he make decision to enter into the war and make a counter offensive to push back N.Korean forces out to S. Korea borders. and when U.S. push forward the Chinese entered the war on the side of N. Korean supported by the weapon/supplies by Soviet. after a month or year war they have an side agreement to tackled the route/borders of each side. but im hoping the Kim Jong-un the 3rd son must change what government system they have. forth what i heard before is there is a son that doesn't want to rule like his father does and want some new gov't to take over.

If there was a voting procedure or a plebicite, then I've never heard of one, from what I know the country was divided into two right after it was annexed and liberated from Japan just like Vietnam from the French. The reason the two countries could not cooperate was because Syngman Rhee and Kim Il-Sung had very different ideals and couldn't agree with one another.

Douglas MacArthur was only told by Truman or Eisenhower to counter the North Koreans at the 38th Parallel but decided to to push to the north where the Chinese started to come in.

As for Kim Jong-Un... Either he will really attempt another offensive against the south or open borders to the world because for a fact we know that right know the north and south have high tensions, but we do know that Kim Jong-Un is educated in Switzerland where he is probably exposed to the outside world more.

It will either be a "like father, like son" situation, or Kim Jong-un will not have a dictator mind like his dad (being exposed to the outside world and whatnot).
