Welp, Bank of America -may- have done it again.

I've never really liked BofA, they always try to overdraft charge me for things that make absolutely no sense whatsoever, and I'm pretty convinced that they scheme to make money specifically at the cost of yours (a lot more than just being a bank company).

I don't have proof of this of course, so I can't really do anything about it or hold it against them all the time other than a personal opinion I have, but today they may have done something to further convince me of their attitude towards customers.

My dad has his bank account with BofA set to pay the bill on our house right after he gets his paycheck. Today hes had a bit of a scare because apparently after YEARS of it working correctly, BofA randomly decided to charge the house payment ahead of time when he gets his paycheck tomorrow. He's had to move money from his savings account and hes not even sure if that's going to be enough to cover it without him being overdrawn, and FYI my did is pretty ****ing wealthy and manages his money like a goddamn pro, so this isn't in any way something normal.

He was already pretty sure that it wasn't his fault but that BofA might be trying to take advantage of him, and apparently on the way home from work my mom has also been hearing stories related to this, which seems like this might be a common occurrence today (kind of odd timing isn't it? right after Christmas when everyone has spent extra on their family).

I've tried looking at news on the net but so far I haven't seen anything about it, but if its true I can't wait to see the flak Bank of America will get if they're actually trying to pull this shit.

They're not just a bank, but also a credit card company. Their business is your debt.

That's not right though. Changing the terms of your dads contract like that. Make sure he gives them a piece of his mind. They'll respond to that. Hopefully.

I have Bank of America as my banking, and credit people. I haven't had a problem with them for the three years I've been with them. Definitely not the case with everyone. Theres always people from every bank who change because of a bad occurrence. I've heard many stories. D:

Hes never had a problem with them before, and its not really a change of contract, just that they decided to charge his payment ahead of time when he didn't really have any money in the account to pay it off, and its not like it was overdue, they just charged ahead of schedule.

Nope, it may just be a minor error, but has the date of the payment specified to go in after his check does, and its been like that for 5+ years without fail, just so happens that today it went in early overdrawing his account.
