Hello,

I'm new here and 3 days ago i wanted to start playing GamezAion, so i installed Ncsoft Launcher, and installed Aion ( North American ) version. After that i downloaded the Gamez Aion Launcher from the website, and i installed it to the right folder.

So i wanted to play and launched the GamezAion launcher and it started up perfectly so i pressed "start game" and it went loading, now when i come to the login screen i see the official Announcement from aion ( i dont know if that should change or not ) so i type my ID and PW and press OK.

now the game freezes and i got no clue what i should do.

Things i've tryed to make it work:

Reinstalling the whole game + NCsoft, serveral times.
Reinstalled direct X
Rebooted PC, serveral times.
Opend my firewall and allowed all the Aion files and GamezAion files.
Also tried a diff Bin32 Folder i found on the forum.
Repairing Aion, serveral times.

im sure i tried a few more things but i forgot, been busy with this for 3 days now and getting alittle tired of doing everything i can and it still does not want to work.

I hope u all can help me with this else i cant join u all and have some fun

Usually whenever the game freezes at the login it's because of an invalid client version..

wish i could assist you further.
but i lack in knowledge..

Your not installing the gamezaion launcher properly. be certain that when you run the launcher select the proper path to your installed aion directory.

 

u need Directx 9 and .NET framework 4

 

My client version is 2.7.0.1, and thats good i think

2 more things i could think of
1. the version of directx matters so make sure ur getting the right one (restart ur pc after)
Download DirectX 9.0c (Jun 10) - Download - FileHippo.com
2. if ur on vista or win 7 u can turn off user account control (control panels -> users ->UAC)

also what kind of freeze do u get (do u still see animated background or music?) and if u wait long enough do u get a d/c msg or not

 

I installed it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\NCsoft\Aion

I had many problems in my Gamez Launcher before, one of it was the Same of your problem, and wish I can help..
1-If you're having a Laptop, Select a high performance power plan.
2-Check on your Direct X and Net framework, should be the latest version.
3-Close any other softwares, "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" or "Ctrl + Shift + ESC" and close all the Applications and other useless processes.
4-Please make sure you have a 1 GB external Card and at least 4 GB RAM.
5-Finally, when you type your ID and Password don't select the "Ok" button with your mouse, BUT just press "Enter".
This problem annoyed me alot and finally I got rid of it.. wish you best of luck ..

 

I did try ur 1st idea and it didnt work, for the 2nd, yes i do hear background music and the background also moves, havent got a error so far i can launch the game up and see if there comes an error or not.

 

i know that it might sound retarded but have u tried pressing enter instead of ok ?

 

yea, i just did that and it doesnt work, i do remember i had a error once bud it never came again.... something with W3 GOG orsomething like that should have made a screenshot -.-"

 

OTCBuild32.woGG error can be caused by many things

this might sound like a dumb suggestion but have u tried running with another private server? if it works at least we will know the client is functional and ur capable of running the game

That error hapened to me alot too.

 

hmmm , start task manager , see if aion bin is running in background , ofc after u close the client

So i checked if aion.bin is running and it is, and i also tryed it with another PS and it worked perfectly, so what to do now?

 

so u mean aion bin is still running in background after u close the client? if yes , close it

btw edit ur post , delete the other servers name xD

to be honest , no idea
maybe try with this bin32 downgrade.zip
and modify version in "version.ini" file to 2.7.0.0

 

it means the issue is in the launcher and u freeze only because u cant connect to the server (its trying to but cant). i suggest u try the bat launcher, should be the least problematic

paste it in ur aion folder and run, see if u can login

edit: yea u can try what daaxie told u if u havent already, only a very few people have a problem with 2.7.0.1 but at the very least its capable of logging u in so i dont think its a version issue

edit2: does the gamez launcher show the server status as online?
