Go die in a fire rift, Rift.

So, I've been enjoying WoW again for the past 3 months or so. Nothing has happened to cease my enjoyment, HOWEVER

the other day my oh so smart raid leader decided to bring up Rift and we began a discussion about it, the entire time I was thinking "oh it would be nice to play it again, it has such good features"

Then I had a spark of curiosity today and decided to check out their newest trailer/event videos.

One of those guildies just came to play WoW with me after being gone for a bit but my desires get the best of me hes going to be left behind or forced to play rift with me again within the next few weeks.

I had a lot of fun in this game.. I've been wondering what the new updates are like.. hrmm..

This game was one in a million where I was actually addicted to the PvP more than anything else.

Lucent, did you make any videos? or take some screen shots?

 

The only videos that I took were live broadcasts which would be in pretty bad quality, but should be saved somewhere none-the-less.

I'm pretty sure I have all my old screenshots around still, if not all of them I still have quite a bit even from the beta.

I'm playing SW:TOR now, was tempted to go buy Rift since its uber cheap now but decided to just try something fresh and new entirely, loving the PvP so far as it doesn't put you up against your own level bracket but instead scales your stats to level 50 and puts every level up against every level. Sortof like Dragon's Nest if anyone PvPed much there.

The rewards for PvP in SW:TOR are also about the same as dungeon/raiding gear, so its very attractive to get the gear for a PvE based person whereas in Rift I didn't have much motivation to actually grind the ranks because the gear was strictly PvP gear (aside from the highest rank stuff)

I will say though, I loved me some Battle for Port Scion, and Black Garden was quite fun as well. Never ended up enjoying Codex, but theres always at least one warfront I dislike from every game.

 

I actually tried to get Deadlychants to get membership for Rift and play with me again, he said no, so I didn't buy it. It's a really fun game, but my indecisive self normally ruins any game for me.. I played a Shaman/Sent/Inquis crit build, got to 50, then wanted to dabble around in all the other soul trees. I ended up making a lot of characters because there's just a lot of possibilities as far as builds go, I also spent all my plat on respecing a lot LAL.~
