When did server become- "do what ever you want server"?

I been pvping all this week, what I find hacker in ever corner: cleric - in rampage have no casting time never ending damage shield- btk flyers in heiron, speed hackers going across elthen and heiron maps not even substle speed anymore more like //speed 1000. And you cannot even report these problems? and if we do no gm is on...What is exactly is going on here?

Is it let it die server time? if so, why even bothering updating it?

I do hope something changes, cuz this not good at all...

btw did not mean to call out guilds, but I just say as I see it... you maybe be aware of these people or not and it your own standing where you at in that matter.

We are doing the best we can to keep the servers clean and free of hackers, its not easy having a team of 6 and dealing with hundreds of people. We do the best we can and there are high amounts of bans issued every day for people trying to ruin the game. Now you are left with options.

1. You can whine about it and watch the hacker have there fun.

or

2. Make reports when GMs are online to help direct our attention to them. Record , take SS and make reports on forums. (Dont say the reports section doesnt work its not a valid excuse, I have plenty of people who pm me reports and thats fine.)

 

Yeah it sucks. I play both Asmo and Ely sides on Siel , all I hear, no matter what side I'm on, is "We don't hack, only the other side hacks." This server has some real characters, by characters I mean *******s. I've cut back my PVP because of it, the moment someone starts *****ing or I actually get rolled by hackers I just log and play League of Legends or something less annoying.

 

So, problem is understaff? and do not give me attitude... I use to be trainee.. I know the process.. and we both know pms are often ignore from players... or do want me start spilling real worl am here? if report is broken why dont you point out good alternative?

And I have reported many hackers, in the proper guidelines as well, they ban one day and back in game next day...

I am not whining? I am simply wondering... I am whining it will sound like this " all you gms do you work, I see hackers everywhere I do not care what is going on just fix it, meh meh meh!"

yah for bit there it was fine on asmo side, but all sudden it got equally as bad... It took me while as amt to see what difference between hack or just merely skill or high ping, but lately is definitely hacks... maybe something got mess up on update that it made the serve more vulnerable... hope we see change, and they are understaff apparently...

Hmm first time heard about that, but I think it's also server side, whenever u go inside of client's skills etc. U cannot change skills effects, if u will can U would use wrath of developer aswell as "never ending damage shield". Only one way to has got that is deadlock of server, or fail with calculation server side and your shield won't disappear after time and damage (lmao I think it is impossible)

To be serious, I know that free fly is disallowed, but what hurts u if someone will glide somewhere? He will have to go sometime to land to fight with u.

U're right, that's annoying like a hell But gms are doing rly the best what can they do. I know some of them, and I know that if they are online they are almost always busy of catching and recording hackers

I am rly thinking what's going on with that, I saw also hackers which were banned and they have been back next day.

 

I never said you where whining I said you can while (as in everyone) or report that was not directed at anyone that was used in a general sense. Now the ignoring of Pm's are handled at the individual lvl so if that's what you did that is fine, I myself prefer not to ignore anyone and make the best attempt to handle all reports.

Back to the topic the population of hackers has increased substantially but the community isn't left empty handed anyone is free to report and if with the community's' help we can eliminate the hackers at a faster rate.

Hmm u sure... cuz everytime I do .gmlist no one is on. I know the go getter is puddles and have not seen her.

is not fact they have gm shield, the cleric have this skill give them dmg absorb is actually a proc.. I do not get how cleric I fought keep having it up...

as for casting thing unless gm gave up no casting item or 100 percent casting speed which they do exist mainly to play with.. then it does not explain how this cleric cast long heals with out bars being up...

and for flying you can tell glide from flying one they have to clip wings to land or glide slowly... flying is hitting u in air... you cannot skill with gliding, and that sor definitely was skilling 30 m in air.. i got mad cuz i lost a kill of dedrun for event...

I am simply wondering how the booming of hackers... came to be... it was not this bad before 2.7 maybe it got vulnerable somehow... or just puzzle for me...

and some of what u said does make sense... but if things you did say does not exist how does it now... I know I have not take my crazy pills yet... so I know i was not making it up.

btw @ the person that said that some of those hacks arent real cuz they are disabled server side... if you can disable them server side then hacks shouldnt exist period in which case the entire reports section is a lie >.>

Oh, srsly I have to explain u how it works?

Just some of them are checked server-side and some nope, for example speed hack, moving is client-side, u can notice that if server lags u can still move. Animations are builded in client, server cannot check it like server cannot check that have u got all textures from map.

To be honest I dunno why chain skills aren't checked server-side.

LOl im pinoy and even I am going to say that is true, I wish to god it isnt but I have not been proven wrong yet... I am not saying they are not other ethnic groups that hack...

You seem to know much... maybe you can give gms a hand... and answers somethings to prevent some of this hacking, but the thing is, I know what hacking and not is especially working with gms... my question is if is not hacking, since you clearly stated is not possible, then how?

hopefully things will get better. I see speed hackers and things of all sorts on a daily basis but i can't really do anything about it so i just let em go(computer can't record or it'll die and taking SS of a speed hacker is useless lol.)

I have never seen an AM for almost a week now every time I check. Maybe they are just not on around the time I am on, not too sure about that. I do understand how it is though when trying to cater to billions of people when you don't have enough staff.

If you folks on Siel are having problems, can feel free to PM me after 6am Central time (Its 9:30PM now) as I'm going to work, thats when I come back. I'm not really supposed to, but if its becoming this apparent of a problem I don't think that sitting by idle will do any good.

Be happy to step on and give a hand if its needed. Otherwise, the best suggestions would be to record via fraps or Xfire and send them to one of the members of the AM team.
