    Hello,

I am looking to overclock my cpu and ram but i am not going to half ass it and **** something up so i am looking for people who know what they're doing.

My cpu is a phenom II x4 810 2.6ghz and i want to overclock it to 3.2ghz

My ram is 1600 default but is running at 1333. I've set it to 1600 in my bios but it blue screened me so i'm hesitant to try it again.

Any help is appreciated though dont post if you have no idea what you're doing.

Sounds like something you should ask Smartik since he's computer savvy.

i got my Phenom x4 965 from 3.2 to 4 Ghz but not with stock cooler. If u wanna push it high, get a better cooler first.
And tbh. u just have to read alot about it and do ti little by little

    and as for the memory.
If it runs at default 1600. Go to manufacturer website and try and find out how much volt it needs.
If it runs at 1333 now and u switch it to 1600 without increasing voltage, it blue screens because it wont get enough juice and therefore "malfunctions"

I figured my ram out, its at 1600 with 1.630v. Cpu is still at 2.6ghz for now, i may overclock it to 3.0 maybe. But yeah i do need a better cooler.

    nice. gratz.
CPU basicly works the same way. once u get a new cooler, go to the bios, and up the mutiplier one step at a time.
Once it blue screens, that is your clue to change the voltage.
