Orb vs Spellbook

I'd go for spellbook if i had to choose one. I managed to kill ppl with my mr set and ma book.... I had like 1,9-2k mb and it really wasnt a problem.

Range is another significant difference between Tome and Orb. And it's a ****ing advantage.

I basicly would use book if i am a spiritmaster and orb if i am a sorcerer.

 

Thats how it is on retail too, sm's have books sorcs have orbs, ive seen ppl totally ripped to pieces in lfg and chat because there a orb wielding sm and vice versa...

Actually mcd tome is more useful for a sm, since 53+ damage per dot is quite good

The best choice if you are a sorcerer it's tome.why? Simple:
1-Attack range Ex:if you are rooted you can just auto attack and make use of godstone.
2-MA.most players use MR manastone builld so you have a chance of success against them.

I nearly pissed myself reading some reply's.
That one about an sm ''having'' to use an tome. and sorc an orb...
Second place was the ''attack range because you're rooted'' that was a good one also.

So anyway's, let's put it this way:
Basicly Orb = maxed damage ok?
Tome = Maxed m.acc ok?
from theese two options we can work out that (For a sorc)
Orb = Nuke stigma build/pve build.
Tome = PvP/CC build.
That's basicly it, since it's been proven that bastard stigma builds & mix nuke template with an tome is quite pointless.

Buut since on siel you have all the stigmas (Make me the meme ) You really wan't to work it out in two situations :
A) Are you going to be solo vs X?
B) Are you going to group PvP? If yes are you 1* : going to be a Nuker for your group or 2* are you going to be a CC'er?

For situation A) You'll wan't to go with a M.Acc/m.r Manastone build, with a CC stigma tree. Meaning a tome.
B)1* Purely M.b a tad of M.Acc just to say 'heyho betch imma go getmyself some hits there' - meaning an orb
B) 2* M.A/HP. The point of you in your group is to go forward, CC what needs to be done, move back, HELP Dps primary targets. The point in having HP? Logically you have a healer, Having a larger HP pool give's your healer time to heal you up. (Yes i'm talking about 1-2 seconds, but that can be a lifesaver)

use both ..hence tome is range & orb is melee~

hint, weave & the other one.. full MB & nuke the hell out of ur enemy as fast as u can

 

Even though Sorcs are an EZ mode class, that was quite impressive. But I can perfectly see that back firing against a highly state of the art, skilled player. Not something you'd want to do to a Templar especially.

 

Even tough yes, this is cool & very usefull, now we're gonna face a surge of nubynub sorc's that can't do anything apart from nuke trying to weave inbetween 2 nuke's and will prob'z do it vs the wrong class's hence epic fail x10 now
