1. does this happen every single time u do it
2. what version is ur client
3. did u downgrade

everytime i'm on i always got bug like that

it might be a result of the downgrade as sometimes they dont just make changes to the bin32 but also cause a vital file incompatiblity. the last time people had to downgrade, the map wouldnt work and quest/craft lists had invisible names. we had to find the specific files that changed and replace them back to the old version

just skip campaign quests for now or trigger the animation on a pc that still runs 2.7.0.0-2.7.0.1, then u can keep playing. i might look into it later and remake the downgrade file to address this issue

if any1 near u plays aion and has the old version, just copy paste it from their harddrive and replace urs, aion doesnt really need an installation

if u have lots of free time, u can install aion from scratch and cancel the updates past 2.7.0.0 when it starts to apply them, that way ull have a stable older version

saw ur post in another thread already made a copy of my old client, gonna update 1 and see if i even get the issue and if i do, gonna see if i can put together a complete downgrade file

will take some time, ill try work it out today if i can

I got kinda like same problem, i see the 2 servers Lumiel and Siel, but when I select One it Freezes
I tried All downgrading things, all did it over 3 times correctly and ... no success !

 

well siel is down atm apparently, just saw the reboot thread. ill have to test this later when its back up

 

wtf...... wat's happening with this server... it's almost dying like hell

 

nah lol, the fact that retail updated isnt their fault, it hit every other private server just as badly since the server files could not have predicted the retail file changes

as for server crash, there was a maintenance restart yesterday so yea its weird that it should need one like 24 hours later

 

2.7.0.1 downgrade.rar this is the answer..

 

infinite loop of "oops, there was a problem with your download, restarting" anyways just posting yet another bin32 folder and calling it a downgrade wont cut it

im still waiting for the server in the meantime i patched the copied client and found the files modified. seems like they didnt screw up much so making a downgrade should be relatively easy

when the server goes up ill just do it real quick and test it, then upload it, wont take much time ^^

 

remove game and reinstall it. Its alot better then downgrading and its works 100% if you dont go to far =P

 

this will too, it basically reverses all the newly added files (which arent many) with the older ones. its much faster and the same result

personally i prefer downloading a 70mb rar file over 18gb client xD
