Gold Medals: On Purpose

I would like to start with the fact that I'm only here to give my honoust opinion, not to troll or anything. If you agree or don't, feel free to reply and vote. Also I am kindly requesting to leave this thread open since theres a poll attached.

If I say ''Gold medals are unable to get'' a GM will probably tell me that you can get them through events. I have only seen 1 event in about 5 days my time, and that was with an accesoiry lvl 55 PvP reward. Also IF theres an event you will only get ~2 silver or gold medals, which is dumb stuff, in my opinion.

The reason why I think Gamez makes us unable to get them, is because the only way we can get them now is to DONATE. Ofcourse a GM will reply ''You can vote''. That means I have to vote for 40 days to get all my stuff. And that is if you don't have the accesoiries, if you don't you gotta vote for 80 days. Bad excuse, saying you can still vote. We all know 80 days of voting aint going to happen.

In my opinion, this is rediculous. I will not spend AT LEAST 100 bucks on a private server. Premium is fine, because it's life-time.

u have to keep in mind that this server is more about the money and the quantity and less about quality and us members..

 

That's what I'm talking about - this server is more about money than the actual gameplay, in my opinion.

 

The truth of private server is just about bloody money!! Feeding your lackey to keep the crowd happy. Accept it!!

To me, it is FAIR that they set such rule to obtain income disguised as donation. I have no problem with it.

What makes a sustainable server relied on the owner's maturity and his willingness to bring in people to solve problem.

 

That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard - the ''crowd'' isn; t happy at all and we deserve to play cheap on a ''PRIVATE SERVER''.

 

The only advantages from private server is to offer "free" or "cheap" game-play to build up the number and your voted position of top100. Only after that, then you start dreaming about filling up your pocket. Which p-server doesn't worked that way??

Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with them earning from running a p-server. If you ever run a p-server, i guess it is hard to debate against the golden rule.

 

I agree that he wants to make money - but first off the GM's dont get anything - second off it's getting TOO MUCH. ALL we can do is get anuhart gear, everyone has the same gear. 100+ Bucks for a ''PRIVATE SERVER'' is way too much.

 

There are ways getting Godly Items buy not buying but its a long Process, paying 100+ bucks like you said is the shortcut! so that's how its gonna be..

 

Lol, gold medals used to be 100% unobtainable. The lack of events is from the lack of GMs. It'll get better later on.

 

i say dont complain about the p-server try playing aion retail :O 20bucks per month paying 100$ bucks for pvp gear aint that bad compared as to paying 20 per month in retail wonder how long it will take u to get pvp gear there. Also keeping a p-server up aint cheap.

 

Carl said he would never ever make them drop. It would "lessen the amount of donations." Plenty of good ideas have been suggested for a system making gold obtainable through pvp from chlora and other members, but Carl shot it down. So no, this will never happen even though it should.

And you should keep in mind that even if it was implemented, the huge amount of dupers, the ability to trade donation gear, and an overall horrendous economy would make implementing this system useless. Since the whole point behind the system is to make the time to get a 50 elite set a long time.

 

''Dupers something blablabla'' OFCOURSE there are dupers, FIX it then. Same for all people crying about hackers, go fix it instead of QQ'ing. Most of the time theyre talking BS anyways.

 

They should at least make gold and silver more available. People are still gonna buy the level 55 ones. And the accessories. I think there's people who donate enough for the ones who dont want to.

One level 50 elite chest piece takes 62 golden medals. A full level 50 armor set alone takes 202 gold medals.

At least the silver ones should be easy to get or even sold in an npc.

 

This made the most sense for sure. If you think this is bad go back to retail XD.

You can always get lots of kinah and buy from players that do donate, or vote.

 

lol exact same thing for the new lvl 55 gear. They don't put the lvl 55 bosses or lvl 55 maps + they put 2k credits for 1 piece 55 because they want you to donate so that they get money and then 80% of members get nothing

 

What I am saying is that it basically made donation gear widespread. and the point behind the system was to make it not easy to obtain, but obtainable. But the problem is that staff here is more concerned about donations. And the system will not work since it is too late x.x. In my opinion, the economy here is "beyond repair" unless they quickly make donation gear untradeable, stop duping once and for all, and implement a system that awards gold medals for say every 5 kills in pvp or something. and silvers should drop in dred like they did before.

 

I get by quite fine on anuhart/taha gear. My only abyss item is a lv50 shield I got with vote points. Abyss sets are not required and are mere luxuries. They should remain donation only, IMO.
