Yea those things you keep in your shelves where they turn all old and dusty, also known as Books! There amazing ! Some of you may look at this thread and be like :surprised: or :annoyed: or if your like me :w00t:. Well I'm almost finished with the book Perfect Match by: Jodi Picoult and was wondering if anyone else has read this book or any book in general have any recommendations that you'd like me to read post below. By the way Jodi Picoult is awesome! but yea this is for book freaks so no flaming or spamming the thread with useless comments >.>.

I recommend the Perfect Match to anyone who has a child (I don't but still fell in love with it) and asks yourselves the question would I do it if I were in the same situation as Nina? Those that don't have children I also recommend this book to you. Plan on reading The Pact next.

Hey we'll call this Gamezaion Book Club :<

Most books i've read are from romanian authors. The only 3 international books that i've read are :

    1. Mein Kampf
    2. A tale of two cities
    3. The art of war

I just finished a Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Can anyone else better describe youth, comedy, romance and death in one book, John sure did. I loved it a lot, but then again I live metaphors too.

I also recommend reading the Tortall Universe related books by Tamora Pierce, they are such fun fantasy books.

I love Catcher in the Rye! It's such a great book, it has been getting popular like many of the older classics have.

i am more keen on philosophical books, from authors like : nietzsche, hesse, sartre, camus and others. one of the best books so far was the stranger by albert camus, easy, catchy and is based on existentialism issues. if you want to dig deep in philosophy read human all to human or gay science, both by nietzche :p

The art of war by: Sun Tzu

is one of the best books i read , even though there are a lot of mysteries in it. I learned a lot of stuff from that book and thats the holy book of army religion :D .. so basically yeah , you take the enemies in the book as people in your society , you will learn a lot. how to deal with them , what to do , how to avoid problems, how to lead , how to know when are you going to win etc ..

Yay for bookworms! :3 As far as collections go, I have:

    - (OBVIOUSLY) Harry Potter, only the world's best series :)
    - Next to that is the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon/Eldest/Brisngr/Inheritance). These books were WELL worth the years I waited for them to come out -________-
    - Bah, I hopped off the Twilight bandwagon when it hit "super mainstream", I picked it up before there was ever a thought of it being made into a movie, and yes the first one is spectacular, the others suck. But I don't care to read it again due to all the hype and attraction.
    - After Twilight, I got into a weird thing with vampires and picked up the House of Night series, but stopped reading it due to the immature content...
    - Poison Study Series. Maria V. Snyder. If you haven't read this series, much less heard of it, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's a trilogy I will read over and over and over and over and over and over and over, and.. .over....and (lol) never get tired of it.

That's the book collection sitting in front of me atm. Don't even get me going on what's on my Nook.
Greatest invention ever. Currently reading the Hunger Games, good stuff

I am currently reading The Land of Painted Caves. It's the last book in Jean M. Auel's Earth's Children series.

I'm a great fan of the classics because I'm an English Lit. Student :3

    My recent reads:
    - Wuthering Heights - text is a bit dense since its fairly old 1800s English written by the Bronte's but its a good novel with convoluted yet alluring characters, a tale of "love", "violence" and "revenge".
    - The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - one of the "great American Classics" its a read you get into
    - Picture of Dorian Gray - great moral depth, just an interesting storyline in general too, a portrait that ages instead of you.

    - The Book Thief -very entertaining and quiet humorous, unique style of writing and equally intruiging narrator - Death himself! He narrates the story of a young German girl in WWII which gives puts a different side of Germany into light. If you don't like the sort of 'classics' route this fairly contemporary book is a great read.

You can spend your whole life reading the classics, and enriching yourself through complex moral and social issues articulated in the books. I play Aion inside a library in my house, and am constantly surrounded by books. I think when it comes to it, you need to be able to balance out the literature that you read. Sun Tzu's Art of War is a fantastic book that everyone should read. Same with The Great Gatsby or Huckleberry Finn, they all address serious issues in our lives which have deemed them classics works of art. As much as you can enjoy them, you also need to learn how to enjoy the newer books, regardless of genre.

I guess what I am trying to say is, keep a balance of what you read, take a little Harry Potter with a little Mark Twain.

(George RR Martin I have been reading since I was 8, The Song of Fire and Ice series is absolutely fantastic and is now a TV show on HBO called A Game of Thrones which I highly recommend you check out)

I've been reading the Hunger Games series lately, just finished Catching Fire and started Mockingjay today. ;o They're pretty nice books, since I can hardly ever find books I'm actually into.
