Books I like. Hmm Books with twist and books that are written like Jodi Picoult or even short stories written by Edgar Allan Poe. I like anything that has a twist to it which is why I've enjoyed all the books by Jodi Picoult.. they only exception in which I didn't like the book by Picoult would be The Help, it just didn't get my attention within the 1st 2 chapters.

The Perfect Match - A great book, its about a family but mainly concerning the mother and son. The mother (Nina) is a Prosecutor for raped / sexually abused children. It takes a big turn when she finds out her son (Nathaniel) was raped and from there its just grabs you and hooks you with a few major twists.

The Catcher in the Rye is a great book but in my opinion is a book that would require someone to go back and re-read it to get even more out of it. Also a fun fact its a 10th grade requirement to read the book in all English classes.

I'd have to agree with you if you just stick to the classics then you wont tend to read any of the newer books and there aren't that many copies of classics floating around anymore on the ones many people have read, which seem to lose their touch after a while. Also The Great Gaspy is now a required book to read for all 11th grade English classes so I'll be reading this book with the class in a 1-2months from now.

Classics are amazing and really enjoyed The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin. If you enjoyed this book I'd recommend the Grapes of Wrath.

I like espionage books like Tom Clancy's series... pretty exciting.

I tried to read the born identity after I saw the movie but never finished the series. but still it has a very good story.

Of all the classics that I read, The Great Gatsby was by far my favorite. You should enjoy it immensely if you already have an affinity towards reading in general.

I'm looking forward to it but of course most of the non-readers at school tend to say "this book is boring it sucks wish i could burn it" but most of us that really enjoy books no matter what just tend to sit back and laugh. But yea I am looking forward to this book.

Actually yes it did. And it only took me like 5 years to successfully modify my remote to post on these forums. Now behave before I start flipping tables.

I read The Great Gatsby a few months ago (I'm also in 11th grade), it seems a little fuzzy when you first start reading but then it starts to become clearer as the book progresses. ;o I may not like reading that much but so far all the book's I've read in English this year aren't half bad. I just hate it when my classmates complain about how much they have to read. xD

I'm reading "Ethics" by David Wiggins. :whistling: Finished the Harry Potter series, also The "End of Faith" by Sam Harris. I'm to start on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Dummies by Rhena Branch & Rob Willson. Artemis Fowl (Eternity Code) by Eoin Colfer. I'm still wondering why I could read all these books and never complete reading the Bible, still procrastinating at the last chapter before the new testament.

Read Game of Thrones, Siddhartha, Brothers Karamazov, War and Peace, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Art of War, Crime and Punishment, Heart of Darkness, 1984, Don Quixote, Ulysses (James Joyce = a true master of the English language), The Devil in the White City, etc., etc.

Oh, so many options. I think reading separates academics and intellectuals from the plebeians that surround us. I guarantee reading most of these will enrich your life a lot, and some of them are very entertaining.
