Question about Equip Preview Window

When you CTRL+Left click on an equipment piece, a preview window will popup and shows how your character will look wearing the piece of equipment you clicked on.

My question is that is the preview window's display supposed to be exactly like how the item will look when my character equips it?

So far I have tried some lower level orange items, seems like while the equipment have some sort of glowing effect in the preview window, but when I actually equipped it on my character, the item is just static in appearance without the effect, like a piece of white equip...

Is this supposed to be that way?

Yeah, the preview window doesn't include glowing effects, for example, a Wise Dragon King's bow purple orb glow or a White Dragon's bow green glowing effects.

So some items, even if you preview it, you might have to actually equip it to see its special effects.

 

the pvp gear has a combat mode glow, and no glow when out of combat <3

 

Mostly the Decendant and Departed Soul cloth sets. both lv25 or so, on an Female asmo.

The thing is that, within the preview window there is a glowing effect, but not when I equip the item itself...

Oh? So there are equipment which glow only within battle? Does this apply to non-pvp(i.e. the PvE stuff) gears?

 

In the preview window at the bottom there is a "change stance" button that will show you what you will look like out of combat. It automatically show you with a weapon out which is what you look like in combat.
