Well you generally need a character to do anything right? If you don't want to keep remaking characters to get 10 platinum medals, i think theres a quest you could to get 1 or 2. But that's your choice.

 

The best alternative on getting Platinum medals as far as I know is through leveling characters. It takes time but gives you a lot. With VIP in no time and mentoring you can finish very fast. But you have other options although not the best but doing them isn't bad. I am not sure if this happens all the time but whenever the forts in Balaurea are vulnerable, go inside the fort (of your race) and after its vulnerability, you will receive a mail containing 2 pieces of Platinum medals. You can also try doing quests just like Luminares suggested.

 

making character and level it is the best way to earn platinum.

 

With vip you can do 1-55 (alone no mentor) in about an hour. An hour for 10 plat medals is a pretty decent rate if you ask me, i highly doubt anything in game would be faster.

I agree it's a boring and tedious method but it's really the fastest way if you think about it.

 

When I was playing here I used to do this even if I had enough abg gears. It isn't as boring as it looks till you do it 10x in a day
I made a VIP leveling guide for asmo in last-call's forum maybe I should post it here, I did that to get plats for weapon fuses.

 

Might not have been boring to you but others find it to be boring not everyone is the same as you.

 

The key is to think about the prize after getting to 55. I also do the l30 daevanion quest each time I do this.
