    Coca-cola is more popular due to the fact that they are much more aggressive with their marketing campaigns than Pepsi. However, Pepsi owns more brands (e.g. doritos, tropicana, quaker) and is overall a bigger company.

    Personally? I'd take Coke over Pepsi. Yes, there is a taste difference. You just need to be a very picky individual (such as myself) to be able to differentiate it. From a marketing perspective, however, consumers overall tend to go with Coke, as it is positioned in such a way that consumers perceive it to be the "original" brand of cola. Interestingly enough, Pepsi advertising campaigns attempt to appeal towards the younger generations, which has had a large impact on swaying brand preferences when given the option of picking coca-cola vs. pepsi.

    I suppose. Everyone I've talked to about it has made fun of me, telling me it's all in my head, claiming if I didn't know which brand I was drinking I would confuse them for one another. I therefore assumed that the difference in taste is perceived as barely differentiable to the general population =P

    coke by far..

    Coke has this thing that pepsi doesnt have.. THE BITE and the AAHHH sensation when you drink it cold.
    pepsi has a little bit.. but Coke is just the bomb..


    about the taste..
    i can tell which is which blindfolded.

    even the scent is different.
