I've been reading a bit and found in the NA aion forums that there was a soft cap for crit strike in 1.9 of around 440... this made me think, I did my own testing with 735 crit strike, and it turned out that there is a soft cap, according to my tests, of 495 crit strike or approximately that.

This made me wonder, since I am certainly a noob when it comes to stats, what other stats have soft caps and what are the PROVEN soft caps for them, and which stats have hard caps, if any. Anyone here knows them? Cause I sure as hell don't..

testing the crit strike soft cap was easy. put on a crit scroll, dual swords, and WoC2, and shoot away for 5 minutes at a training dummy. then view the combat logs and count how many of the hits were crits, and how many were normal hits. if you don't know a stat's soft cap, but think there's a way to find it out, post it here and we'll see how it goes!

any theories concerning any stats are more than welcome btw! ^.^

Thats on mobs, in PvP is crit strike vs strike resist.

yea, that's obvious... always good to have around 600-700 crit strike, since +15 sets will give 195 strike resist. I know that crit strike - strike resist = actual crit strike during pvp, and every 10 crit strike points is 1% crit chance. I'm just curious as to wether there are any other notable soft caps out there, like in accuracy or so

uhm, I have a question. When will crit hit hard cap? Is the soft cap for crit still the same now that we're in 2.7?

it's actually 495 now according to my test.. you should always have more during pvp tho, cause of strike resist...and so far I haven't hit a hard cap on crit, so idk

Evilset told us that the soft cap is 440. He may have changed it but I doubt it.

according to NA forums, it's been 440 for a while now. I could've just had good luck with crits in my test, but who knows

I made 930 hits, and out of those 930, 461 were crits.

Doesn't matter what retail is, the EMU Gamez uses has soft cap set up so you can change it by simply looking for the value in a document.
