togi thats not all the sm... lol there other people dpsing u LOL it does sucks being feared chain.. but u know what on 3.0 it gives them excuse to actually abuse it more, they get crap for skill compare to other class and also they lowered fear duration to like half. fear for 4 seconds now with other fears, and 8 seconds most i think on fear shriek.

90% of the time there is going to be other people DPSing you in fear (Gamez zergs.) I think if they made it so that fear breaks when anyone but SM attacks you then it wouldn't be OP. It would also make SM's not want to use fear unless it's 1v1 (which basically forces the fear spammers to work for their own kills).

As far as I know, you get points for killing people. Not killing them so they are comfortable with it. If you kill them with a zerg and you fear bomb them in the process they will hopefully get mad and do the right thing, join a big legion, and come back with friends so you get a more enjoyable fight.

Its called, instigating a fight. Make a guy mad, in any way available, and hope he comes back with friends.

Its how all shard wars used to be started where there were shard wars.

Fear is awesome. I use it in all situations, especially when its 1v1 or 1vMe+Zerg. I like to reduce the chance of the guy living to 0.

I feel disappointed when a gladi uses charge and gets away and I could have insta feared him.

I dont like sins to run away and hide.

I hate to let mages teleport forward and run away.

I want them to die.

Fear is the savior of this game.

You assume that people are scared of you. You really need to look at yourself in a different light. More like they think its funny when you come back, run through 12345678 5-stars to get to the rank 9 SM just to get off a single swing before being fear bombed. They laugh. You cry on forums. Who is having fun? Not you.

I think the only class that Togi has not QQ'ed on is glad. He created a QQ thread to most of the classes that he hated or to classes that had kicked his a$$ even in his single digit ping. Just saying.

hmm so maybe SMs shud just cast DoTs and debuffs while waiting for the target to die from DoT they shud just slap em with thier tome or do hadouken animation with thier orb XD

You already said what you needed to say, I don't get why you felt like you needed to come back. Do you really want to defend Fear this much?

The video isn't misleading. Fear as a skill IS abused more often than not because fear doesn't give any chance for escape. You can say that SM is there to counterbalance everything, but why should a counterbalance as such allow no room for player skill to be utilized and escape such a dangerous trap?

Look at the other OP stuff:

Break power. It's fixed now, but back when it hit extremely high, it was quite IMBA, BUT it did allow for player skill to intervene and prevent break power. How? Shields. Nearly all templars do the same thing, Doom Lure -> Shield Burst -> BP. If you can time your shields right, you can easily resist doom lure and be on your way.

MB Assassin. Is it OP? I honestly don't think so. Why? Because if you're fast enough, you can stop assassins from getting past ripclaw because no MB assassin uses FE before coming out of hide. I've stopped countless MB sins in their tracks because of their blatant stupidity. Even if Signet does hit me, once the damage is done, the damage is done. That assassin can basically be ignored because their attack damage is extremely weak.

Sorcerer Nukes: Well, these were OP back then when they one-shotted people, but now they just hit really hard. Player skill can intervene and heal before the sorc kills you. I will admit that it is more difficult to deal with sorcerers, but I've accepted that fact because Sorcerers are Gladiator counter-class.

Fear: No amount of skill can get you out of fear, therefore, in my eyes (since no player skill can be utilized in order to escape or even win in this situation), it is overpowered.

I'm trying to say that since there's no way in hell that I can suggest anything that would get the developer to balance out Fear, so I'm taking a different approach into raising AWARENESS about what this skill is and what it's like being on the other end of it. The skill IS overpowered whether you don't agree with it or not.

The awareness isn't even only for myself. If I convince an SM that he doesn't need to rely on fear, maybe he will start using other skills and learn other tricks so he can use them at his disposal. Kiting? For SM, this is extremely basic. Funny thing, barely any of them know how to kite! Why? Because they have fear as an easier (and stronger) road to take. I've only seen two good SM's that kick ass without fear. Why can't there be more? SM is an extremely powerful class that just *happens* to have fear.

Maybe I should post more often. xD

 

try getting an MR set.. like I was trying to say earlier what you expect from a spiritmaster? slap you with his/her tome after casting debuffs and DoTs that you can easily pot out of it

I've tried MR set. It only works on SM's with crap gear. If I run into an ABG one, all that MR is 100% useless.

I expect a good SM to keep me away from him while setting my ass on fire with dots. =p

 

well honestly dunno what max MA an abg user can get... im only app and max i can get is 2.325 and some glad do resist all my 3 fear skills

Max MR a gladiator can get is ~2300 (with spear or GS). If a gladiator resists your spells and you have > 2300 MA, he is hacking.
