i have ncsoft aion from my friend from like aion 2.5 or 2.6 and i want to update it, so i copied the files to my computer C: then when i launched the nclauncher from the ncsoft folder, the aion is in the "not installed" list... is it installed already or i just have to download it or change path or what?

 

aion doesnt need an installation, however you have to tell the ncsoft launcher where the aion folder is. to do that, do the following:

1. run the ncsoft launcher (do the usual bs like setting region to north america and turning off automatic updates
2. right click aion in the games list
3. click properties
4. browse and locate your aion\bin32\aion.bin

after that, you can either update (and cancel when it gets to the update from 2.7.0.0 to anything higher since only 2.7.0.0 and 2.7.0.1 r supported here) or update all the way and then downgrade with this

You have to DL and install the Gamez launch patch, put it in you Aion folder and run the game using the Gamez icon.

 

wasnt his question his client is too old for this server and he needs to update it. the gamez launcher alone wont fix that

 

I thought that he updated it already.

 

he couldnt coz his ncsoft launcher didnt see the game xD thats why he asked lolz

done with the 4th instruction but when i click check for updates it says error during last operation or if i click repair, the status says updating to 3.0.0.2, what will i do?

 

you can just let it repair to 3.0.0.2 and then downgrade using the guide. at least u will know all the files r working properly
