Tera or aion?

wrong aion world is pretty big and pve/quest based. ur just judging by a high rate server where after bout an hour and half ur stuck with one dungeon (besmundir) followed by 2 maps full of zerging

really, when u take it slow (and when things actuall work) its something totally different

well personally i think C9 would eat them both sux its korea only. take vindictus, slap on advanced graphics and turn it to a full out mmo. no lock on targetting or autoaim, full environmental freedom. true rpg gameplay becoming multiplayer

SON OF A.......I've been looking for this game like an idiot... they NEED to make it available in English!!! this game REALLY called on my attention >.<


EDIT: OH GOD NOO!!!! NHN made this game? DO NOT PLAY IT!! I can ASSURE you, even though it might look AMAZING, their customer support, update methods, GM personnel...EVERYTHING will be lacking in this game... I've played another game from them, they shut it down this month even though the month before, they said they had no plans of closing the game, and even released a crap ton of cash shop items for you to spend your money on...the game received no updates for over a year and the website had not received an update since before I started playing (over 2 years)... NHN sucks bad.. I can't believe I find them again >.>

Anyway, I have absolutely no problem with people having their own opinions. In fact, I encourage it, which is funny because you're using this argument against me when you just bashed my friend Jintae the other day for liking Cabal. What was that you're trying to prove about letting people have an opinion?

Thing is, people can have their opinion, I don't mind, I'll state mine and if people ask why, I'll give them reasons why I have that opinion. The thing that annoys me is when people blindly criticize a game as if they KNOW the game, when they haven't even tried it.

Don't want to play a game based on reviews? "Okay. Don't."
Want to bash a game you've never played based on reviews? "Get the **** out of here and stop joining bandwagons as if you know anything about what you're talking about."

 

Well, personally I'm a fan of Lineage and I'm awaiting of the 3rd game of the series. C9 looks decent if it's made as F2P, otherwise it's a shame to pay in order to play a game based on old game core environment.

seriously, targeting and lock on skill spam is boring

 

1. - You friend was talking about Cabal in RF suggestion thread. I believe I already said enough here.

2. - Well, people obtain experience as the time passes. When you play one, two, three, four ... and so on .. games, then you know HOW to judge a game without the actual need to play it.

For example, when you have used 100 mobile phones of different brands, you will know what the phone that you are reading a review about looks like. I mean, everything got its unique features, either it's a game or a phone or a car (-etc-) but the point is that when you have experience, you do know what to expect and how to judge without trying it.

No one knows when someone will have judged something wrong by just being based on his experience. But most of the time, things are actually do look like they have been described. That's why there are always people who try and comment and others who decide to believe those comments and reviews or not.

After all, I recommend to the OP, to see, judge and decide if wants to try it out or not.

And i know what I'm talking about since I spend my time in aion exploring and questing...even if it's ofc really discouraged by being pked every second. It's true that there's pve content, but being the game focused on pvp it's almost foolish thinking you can manage to play it as a pve game. And the bigness of the world is not really relative. Plus tera has open world as lineage, which is a great plus for explorers. (and ofc you can choose if you want a pvp or pve server so it's sure less pvp oriented...hell, they even did a pve rp server...)

best advice so far, everyone has different opinions and likes different kind of games, nobody can tell you what you're gonna like :wink:

 

well i did like guild wars 2 from the presentation video (was over an hour) on youtube. it had everything i could ask of an mmo. the world changes around u, highlvls scale down to ur lvl in lowlvl areas so they cant ruin the game for u, no reading whatsoever coz npcs talk to u, u start quests by npcs randomly running up to u instead of standing in a fixed place, dynamic events that trigger randomly and difficulty autoadjusts by the number of participants, lots of cutscenes and stuff and yea people wont pk u all over the place

but yea the first gameplay vids were a little discouraging

 

By its size only I can tell that the game won't have so 'rich' environment or it won't be big enough in order not to get bored. The is Aika, a game that as small as this one and it's a hell of grinding and farming of dungeons again and again. You can repeat the quests one million times and that's it - except from the massive wars and really often PvP events, the game was really boring.

The companies who release F2P games, usually use outdated gaming core for the design of the games. The cost for shiny looking games is big and only big companies can afford it, but free aiming feature is fun as heck - I have to admit it since I've played one game like this one in the past and there is nothing more enjoyable than trying not to fails or cast on a random spot away from the enemy.

Oh sweet mother of games. I'm gonna try it out ONCE I got time to breathe... Idk why but lately I feel nostalgia for RF and I want to go back to it, but in this country there is IP block and I can't access the US version

 

u can access on proxies, but it can be a pain. hotspotshield often assigns fast US proxies or u can get a manual one and use proxifier

Tera is nice but kinda boring.
C9, I was a beta tester there and it's truly an interesting game but webzen sucks...they might ruin it in a few months.
Aion...A nice game to have fun when you're bored....

Anyway, I see that the game is developed by the same company that released Archlord & SUN - both games that enjoyed playing in the past when I was still young

 

sorry, but that NHN logo at the end of the first video that Smartik posted makes me NOT want to play C9, and I wouldn't reccomend anyone to try it either, if it actually is being published, produced, etc. by NHN... those vampires will suck out as much money as they can and then close the game or sell the engine to he highest bidder..not worth it to play a game with their brand on it, sorry =/...
