Yesterday I got to bid my +15 Elite Archon Tribunus Longbow (/w complete +5 atk manastones and 10% prob silence godstone) to a player IGN - Minusplus - Ranger class - member of <Know Your Enemy> Legion.

    This is the scene...

I bid my EAT bow through 3.LFG messaging method.
Many players suggested offers but practically, the highest bidder wins and that is ---- Minusplus for he bids 5.6 Billion Kinah.

Then we got a deal to trade my EAT bow to 5.6B of him.
As the picture shown below, I tried to find who's GM online so that we may be able to trade in front of GM for a secure transaction. But unfortunately, there is no GM online that time.

I suggested him with a screen shot transaction option and he accepted it.
I suggested this kind of trading:
"He must complete the 5.6B by trading (5*999m) +600m and I will trade the bow after (as this is the usual transaction goes)."
But he is not comfortable with this method. He suggested this kind of trading:
"He will put first 999M and his Anuhart Jerkin and Pants (this items has no "+" at all and only remodeled to Balic Dark Dragon Set) and I put my EAT bow too. then every after 2B of next trade I'll return 1 part of his armor.

To my thought that he is also securing the transaction, the idiot character of me deals with his option.

    And we do the Trade

But after the 1st trade, the ---- do his skills in SCAMMING.
I tried to request a trade but he declined and he logged out.

After a moment the ---- logged in again and run away.

    To the GM:
"Please make any motion for this kind of unpleasant attitude of the said player. I know you'll do your part as our GM" Thanks..

    IGN of the SCAMMER:
Minusplus - Ranger Class - member of <Know Your Enemy> Guild.

    IGN of the VICTIM:
Jjumong - Ranger Class - member of <CodeWeb> Guild.

From my point of view, that was a pretty good deal he made you, with the return of his pieces of armor and such...

I would have bought his argument. :pinched:

I mean the best case scenario is that a GM is there to oversee the transaction, but realisticly, as of lately, there's just not that many GM's and they are only human too... Can't be logged in holding our hand ALL the time!

Ponder that every single serious transaction was kept on hold until a GM shows up and helps out... Scary thought, lol.

But, anyway... Good luck with getting this sorted. You have done nothing wrong in my book, and even recorded the whole thing. Best to you.

Just on a side note, why the hell does it say some people got 0 posts? :S

On topic... Yeah I gotta say I really don't know why people do scam when they know that if people got proof they'll end up being banned at the least.

And whose fault is it that you trusted anyone from an online private server game?

tbh this is a by product of greed. with weapons and armor selling for more than what the trade window can handle (kinah), this kind of thing is going to happen a lot tbh.

Problem being is, one of the party has to "trust" the other party. one with the item must either trust the one with the kinah to hand it over first. or the one with the kinah must trust the one with the item to give the item over once the kinah has been transferred.

catch 22 situation, best solution is one of 4

    1. Keep the item and hope that the devs will eventually unlimited the kinah trade amount.
    2. Sell the item for the Maximum kinah trade amount, thus your not getting "scammed"
    3. learn that you should not trade high grade items with people you do NOT know
    4. Trust no one in a online game, unless that person is sitting in punching distance IRL.
