I prefer Ashtar's idea. It could involves background check-ups, their current position and how they handle themselves amongst other children. Of course this will not be a true evidence of being a good parent, can never be one to be frank.

But I can't even think of what kind of test wouldn't put a sense of mental stress just from the sheer fear and pressure of failing and losing your child forever. In general what both of you are asking are two sides of the same coin. The test could come if there has been evidence of you not being suitable for the licencee of having a child, to prove other wise and upon failure of the test you may try again in another 3-6 months maybe?

Mental break ups are the most dangerous in the parenting role, as you can see it on the posted video. The mother seems to have lost the control of her anger and its unreasonable.

 

That isn't for me to decide, but there are elites out their who has every details of us, they would probably be in charge of that.
