3.0 Extendables Weapons

I wouldn't use Official Aion as a comparison to Gamez Aion, simply because of the fact that the end-game of official Aion, you don't have everyone running around w/ full blown ABG fully maximized along with the best assorted jewelry and all.

The extra stat bonuses that the other more powerful GS provides are quite significant here in Gamez, for example the Acc bonus is very big and a key difference between things landing or not, and the reason why is that since we have so many players walking running around at nearly full-potential mode, these extra bonuses become vital.

Having a Leastrygos GS combined with a PvP GS such as an ABG GS is great, and good in certain situations, because of its range, you can technically outzone someone which is very nice. However the differential of lowered acc with the extended GS to say an ABG GS combined with another lvl 55 GS is a large gap. I can't remember, but isn't the difference between it like nearly 300 points or more?

So an example and I'm just going to use some random numbers here and say that when using an Extended GS/Combo you would have a 2k Acc (Leastrygos only has 841 Acc) however compared to a high-end GS combo you would have around 2.3k Acc or more (ABG GS has 1156 Acc), making it once again, very significant. All of this is a a difference between damage mitigation or what not, which is big when you go up against someone of equal gears and abilities such as you the player.

This isn't to say Extendables aren't effective, they are, but they without question don't dominate in the same manner as the other more powerful GS combinations. Of course since I play a Templar, and when in chase-mode, having the Extended GS is mandatory because a difference of 17m to 21m on Inescapable Judgment is a beauty.

Extended weapons are still good and the option to switch between the two is effective, but its not as prominent as what you would see in official Aion due to the differences of the geared players on retail vs here.

 

First of all you cant fuse athana and under it abg ,so get your facts straight.

id pick the extra 5 meters over the lame 209 accuracy anytime. You cant compare athanas fate weapons with anything that exists or will exist in 3.0 "unless they bring new extendable weapons,which is unlikely" (and im talking about spear gs and staff mostly, cause i know good sins that dont use athana swords and they still own,same goes for the hammer,it isnt exactly great but its still a good weapon to have)

Athana's fate weapons are epic,whoever doesnt use them simply doesnt know what hes missing. The only use for stronger weapons such as NTO would be if a gladiator wanted to go in an area with people and do aoe skills,in that case it would be quite useful for 10 sec doing aoes with an NTO spear,other than that all those weapons that dont extend are piece of crap.


And i said all this cause even lannok gs and bakarma spear are better than abg when it comes to actual pvp,and we all know how bad stats those items have. but surprisingly they are better,the range is what matters,why would you need something with more power and accuracy if you cant actually hit your opponent.

they've been trying to remove extendables from aion for a while since they're rather imba that's why when athana/lae gs's were made on retail their near impossible to get and no one has them yet so don't expect any extendables in the near future and athana is still valid commander bakarma however on the new 60 eternal will hit like a leaf.

 

^ in short athana weapons are the best thing any melee could ever have.


About the bakarma spear,i think it wont hit so bad really,i used to have ice black spear "without fuse" and it was doing fine against ABG users. So i think its still ok,id still pick the bakarma over the level 60 eternal pvp spear,IMO though Not to mention that my sources tell me that level 60 pvp armors have low physical defense

That was just a rush group for fun,i was actually wearing my ncc set+shield+mace+headgear which are piece of sh1t. my MR was 2250 only so pathetic,i got feared like a couple of times. Btw remind me your in game name and next time i ll face you with my abg gear 2500 MR =)

And PS i am currently playing asmo templar so thats ok,it was just a group for fun,sadly i had my chain gear on my asmo temp so damn

Funny how we raped all those asmo at rohnan tho pretty epic,they only killed us when our chanter died (he fell off the map after he got feared 2x) and shandi and i got ganked.

Funny thing is that last time i pvped with cleric was when i made my cleric pvp video,if you check the date,thats pretty damn old lulz,now i wanna go back to playing cleric.

Edit: Story is,i was with luv/kenny fkin around at verteron and showing off skins,kenny was like hey you remember kate? i was like erm you fkin kidding me? We grouped up,i was like guys its 5 am come on... they were like,ok just for awhile,we went like silentera,then gelk,got zerged,then decided to go rohnan,thats probably where we saw you,though we just stayed for 30 minutes after that i left and i havent talked to either of them xd

Yea we are old legion mates 3 of us we used to pvp long time ago all together,we usually coordinate good even though we havent really had the chance to pvp all together for a very long time. Kate and luv were on abg sets though,i was the one who was screwed after every attack,i think the silence penetration resistance of ncc works but the 250 less MR sucks,id rather wear my abg and have no silence resistance. Though it was a good fight,i laughed hard in the first run when our chanter ran inside like REALLY REALLY INSIDE the village,i was like dafuq,why do you have to do that


Looking forward to a real fight next time,when your people are back,though its unlikely we meet cause i play asmo when i pvp,and even that is rare. And the other 2 guys dont seem to pvp much either,but who knows
