    Okay, first things first.

Choosing Sets: It's really hard to give advice about this, there is no one set that has advantages over the other, it's all about personal preference. I do not have an MR set, so sorcs give me serious trouble, so I suppose I can give you a couple suggestions. The Sorcs are the biggest pain in my ass, their damage is insane, and I always am getting my deaths from them. I make sorcs my prime focus when out pvping, anytime I ever see a sorc, I will give them a brand to know that they are a sorc in the future. If you frequent the same pvp spot, you shouldn't accumulate more than 6 sorcs, otherwise that PvP will lose any fun. This allows you to know who to look for and where to aim so you don't get taken unaware, the biggest advantage that the sorcs have. If you don't notice them, they blow oyu up. I always try to find someone I can group with, I have asked fantaros many times while he was in pandae if he could group with me so I could brand. Once you have giant brands over the sorcs heads, you are able to pvp more securely without as much worry. The problem of using an MR set would be the fact that branding Sins and Rangers isn't as helpful, they tend to use stealth modes that get up next to you close, and blow you up. On the other hand, the MR set is the one that is giving you the most benefits when it comes to the overall pvp situation, since MR will affect all the classes, where parry will affect only melee. It seems to me that you prefer staying on a MR set then a parry set, which is perfectly understandable. If a class gives me serious trouble, I go and play it for a week or two, learn the skills, basic strategies, basic flaws, and then I will be much more effective fighting them when I'm back to my main class. If you are using an athana, and have a variable high ping (300+), you should be able to do slide shots without having to do the preset weave or be out of combat mode. Nothing is more obnoxious on a sin than someone who is constantly moving, most of their skills are based on the target being in place. Learn what the buffs look like so you know what to watch out for (Devotion and Oath), and their DPS will be low and never land signets on you. Rangers you can take on the "deer in headlights" approach, which is somewhat a funny way of putting it, but actually works fantastically. Rangers rely on 3 major things, Mobility, buffs, and DPS. get a tendon slice off with a silence on them, put a lockdown on them, and surprisingly most of the time they won't know how to react at all but sit there until their tendon slice is off, even if they aren't locked down anymore. You strip away all their advantages over the other players, and most people who actually play ranger don't learn how to cope with these problems.

Weapon: Between Spear and Greatsword, its a completely split decision. There are multiple factors you want to include into your decision process.

    1. Sex of character: Female animations are FASTER with spear, male animations are FASTER with greatsword.
    2. Gearset: If you are already reaching cap attack speed, using a spear is fantastic way to have intense DPS and almost parallel attack speed to the greatsword.
    3. MS Slotting: The Spear is good to use when you are on a defensive build, it has extra damage and crit that can help make up for the full slotting on MR/Parry/Block. If you are slotting Crit/Accu/MA/Atk, greatsword usually works well since you are able to hit more for a large amount of damage, with the spears damage not that variable when you are already slotting the advantages the spear has over the greatsword.
    4. Ping: High latency is harder to take advantage of the greatswords attack speed, the spears hard damage helps you slightly make up for it. The greatsword allows you to deal more hits, attack FIRST(which is a big must on glads), and completely roll a player with a spear without them touching you. If you don't have this kind of latency competency, and need to rely on a more attrition based play style, spears hard hits make up for greatswords attack speed.
    5. Personal Preference: This means more than all the 4 combined. If you have played a temp for a year, learned to weave with a greatsword, learned how it feels and know as soon as the skill will be done that you are already on the next button, stay with the greatsword. I find that on my elyos glad with the spear, I am intentionally weaving, where on my asmo glad, my attack speed is too intense for me to constantly paying attention to weaving, and most of my weaves are due to natural attack speed.

and thanks about the music :), I have been keeping a playlist for years of music I would want into a pvp vid.

    Hope I helped :)

It's really hard to find skilled players now a days, especially in any good 1v1 fights. I think I was ganged by dominate about 10 times before I was able to get a fair 1v1 with him, and I got dropped about 3 seconds after the video fades out by the zerg. I knew I couldn't keep up with his attack speed, and he had already gotten an advantage on me by getting me in a KD silence, but that let me save my remove shock and KD skills till when it mattered most. When I got back to him I was doing everything in my power to leech enough HP to survive his last hit that he would get off on me, which I knew he would. As I thought, he 2k dps me right when he is getting tossed up into an aethers hold. I actually didn't notice how many leathers were in my vid until people made comments about it. I guess they just love me?

Blah, it was never any good fights kibi! Plus that was after I was almost done with the video an was on break from recording. The first one, you had UD and suho didn't, then I had cooldowns and you didn't, then suho had UD and you didn't. I would have loved to see a 1v1 with you guys, but a fair one :p.

Thank you very much for the advise. I will try doing them and see how it is for me. Gladiator is not really my main. I call myself a frustrated Gladiator user since I always loved and had my eyes on the class every since but I do not really have much skills on handling it. I have been PvPing with it since last year in Elyos, I was able to kill some decent players in 1v1 that gave me so much hard time, high ranks that gave me too much AP, made me 5 star but when I am surrounded I die pretty fast :p
It really was an advantage for me when I had my WoC2. I noticed I played better than before in Elyos *I moved to Asmodian early this year*, I was originally using spear and it is just lately that I decided to use greatsword because I thought it is much better but I am still not satisfied with my performance. Thank you for the help. It helped me enlighten my mind and practice more things regarding the class :)

I really prefer asking direct questions and get direct answers from people who really know the class they are playing than read Guides >.<

    We had 5 fights total

    1. I Aether held you with a silence proc, not a fair win. (PS never meant to emote on your body, was responding someone in chat and the emote went off)
    2. You jumped back down to fight me right after I finish fighting off a Templar
    3. The fight shown
    4. You silence Proc KDed me before I got UD up.
    5. That sorc that you let me kill got back up and nuked me at the end.

I figured that was the best fight to do, but those were the only 5 1v1 encounters we did. We also did a 2v3, with you, Dantel and some sorc vs me and Airbend, and airbend crashed afterwards. Then you, Sosa, Chilliax and Dantel landed on us and killed us when Kpop showed up. Then we landed on you guys and killed you. Then you came back with WoW and killed us. Then we came back and it was you, prime, chilliax and dantel vs me, airbend and kpop, and you Zikels Threated.

those are pretty much the only semi fair fights we had, the rest was pretty much getting zerged.

If I was there I would've been cursing at those asmos already for being too noob. The ranger dont know how to use traps, the chant don't heal, it's not even aware what's happening with his groupmate -_-. I see a lot of these asmos as well in Gelk running away from Airbend and his Cleric and there were like 1-2 groups of asmo against them.
