The 'Perfect' game for you.

So.. So... After the fights over silly online games like Aion and Tera, I think it's time to make a thread cat-fights free ^^;


Well, let's imagine that there is ONE company, with the best art designers, programmers, developers, music artists, scenario writers, etc.. This company has everything it takes to make the ultimate ONLINE game just for YOU.

And they ask you: How would you imagine the game of your dreams?
- Would it be mmorpg or fps? Race or sport?
- What features would that game have?
- What kind of races/ nations / classes / equipment / mounts / pets ?
- PvP in arena/ duels of open arena PvP?
- What LvL cap?
- How many skills?
- How many jobs/classes in one toon?
- How would the environment look like? The graphics?
- The background music?
- The grass is pink or green?
- What is the hierarchy system of each race if there would be any?
- What is the reward system for PvP / grinding?
- Will you be able to fly/ to jump high / to run super fast/ to have ultimate skills/ to ride mounts and fight/ to swim? -
- Will there be house system where you would rest your toon?
- How many and how big maps? Drops or Cash Shop? Potions CD restriction or just 1sec between re-use?
- What would be the enhancement system?
- Can you craft your gears or just drops?
- Town sieges or Castle sieges or capture of the enemy race/ nation power stones/ buffs/ special abilities?

Well, you can take any game out there and ADD or THROW features on it in order to give us an idea how would you like the perfect game for you. The questions above are there just to give you ideas as for what to look into the games you play /ed and liked.

Use your imagination, but don't troll with crap of the style - I want it to be like Hello kitty online with bloody PvP.

 

The game of my dreams would be Gamez Aion without zergs. But thats why we call it dreams. Never going to happen.

 

gw2 by arenanet as content/scale(not connected to NCsoft cuz thats a deathwish) with tera's graphic quality and combat system, blizzard's cinematic style , no asura[its a gw2 race](they are fugly), no sieges cuz zerging is fail , guild vs guild instanced pvp (lets say 25/50v25/50), gw1's pvp system and its variety, a little gear dependant (as in gear = skill :some1 with the elite set will be as good as a "pro" with newbie armor) max lvl 70 oh and B&S's "rush" system (yes i dont know the name, sue me).

Oh right the pvp rewardings : points for pvp gear which are account based and untrade-able (same with the pvp gear)

To me, there is no perfect game. I sat here and tried to think of features I'd love in the perfect game, but I really can't

The thing is, everyone has their own opinions, and over time opinions change, people become tired of what they used to like, and seek new things.

While we could have all companies band together to make one amazing game, in reality people would still find problems with it (even if the problems originated solely with the players, ie: zerging) and it would get boring after a while just because it would always stay the same.

In that same reality, I think its a lot better to have tons of completely imperfect games by several flawed game companies, because that clash of ideas and competition is exactly what drives us to want more, and desire better.

If we were just given the best, we would never know anything greater, and nothing else would compare. It would effectively make all games stale, including itself once it was all used up and boring.

 

He's asking about the perfect game FOR YOU (in general it aint a tribute thread duh) not if such a game exists , its obvious some1 wont like it , point is tho: say what you want

 

As I said at the beginning of the post, I tried to think of features I'd love in the perfect game, but I can't. Just like everyone else, I'm finicky. I could ask for perfect features, but I'd probably change my mind afterwards and want something else.

I'm taking it quite seriously but I literally can't think of anything that I have second thoughts about, that's why I'm giving my perspective that I prefer just having competition versus getting a perfect product. Even if I'm the oddball here, that's my serious opinion on the matter, so I won't try to give a fake answer xD.

Anyways, the mearly perfect game for me would be something like this:

Graphics: Like Aion is just fine. I hate manga/cartoonish looking games

PvP:
- Open map PvP in a style of TW2 or Aika, where there are ******* wars to conquer the buffs of the other races or town and you have to rush and PvP in many maps during the races war. I like when the races war is like every 12hrs or so.
- Weekly classs Vs class, group Vs group and duel events open for all races.
- Town sieges for the control of the economy of the area by Legions of the same race. Let's make an example. In Heiron, the xXx legion can capture the main town or any village which will be reset after X time. During the captured time, the Legion will earn % from the teleportations, flying services, sells to the NPC, drops from farming. All that will go straight to the Legion's warehouse.

Classes: I like it when you can have 2 or 3 professions in one, like in L2.

Races: Two races is too gay. I like games with 3 -at least- races and another 4th one race that can be unlocked for all 3 other races, when the players reach certain level.

Pets: For me the pet must evolve with the player and add bonus like +atk dmg or +crit rate or +hp, etc. Also, it's cool when there are pets levels: common, rare, elite and when pets don't die in PvP, but they are just there around you.

Mounts: A must in any game are mounts, but most important is the ability to use them in PvP. Again, as for the pets, same for mounts it's cool if the give you different stats and it there are class lock mounts ^^; Makes the game more fun!

The level cap: I hate when the level cap is low. Really, the game can be fun when the level cap is like Lv120 or higher. You grind, you PvP, you explore new maps as you level up, you do quests.

The maps: The maps of course need to be big and with attractive environment, so that player can roam around when bored from action. Dungeons, Bosses, and dungeon repeatable quests. Rifts for that the races can PvP and fight each other. I don't like the current Aion rift syste, but I enjoyed the Stones protection system of TW2 where you had to destroy the protection circle of stones in order to port into the maps of the enemy race

Drops: The rate should be normal, the more rare item, the less drop rate. All items should be dropped in game and only improvement items, pets and mounts should be in CS.

PvP reward: Kills count is the main reward for the PvP. With this 'currency' you can buy items from special store. It cannot be traded and players can kill and gain points form the same player only x3 times every 3hrs. This way players won't farm points.

Hierarchy system: Every month there will be elected one race Leader, one Vice-Leader and 5 consuls. The Leader and Vice can use the Race chat 24/7 and the Race buff during the races wars only once w 60min duration. The players who can take part in the election are the 20 tops players with the most PvP points. The Leader of the race will earn % from the trades made w the NPC from all maps of the race, every day and it's his call how to use it.
