Looks like the thunder started off bad and ended the game with the heat being ahead by 4points

The Thunder have the ability to play some of the best basketball in history...but they don't. I don't get why they don't play with the same energy in the 1st half. It's ridic how furiously they played and how they clawed their way back into that game.

KD is going to go down as one of the best scorers in history. He's proven again and again that he's one of the most clutch players in the league right now. That last miss? A foul by LeBron. Whatever. More importantly, there was that blown goaltending call earlier in the game that came up huge.

While I do wonder if the Heat suck the refs dicks before or after the game, I can't completely blame the officiating. Thunder need to play that brand of basketball for 48 minutes. Think about it. It took a 17 point lead early on, foul trouble, horrible officiating, some lucky shots (Battier's banked 3), a horrible start by the Thunder, Westbrook turning into Westbrick, and they escaped by 2 points and a very controversial last play. They need to win 2 out of the next 3 games on the road.

Love these Finals though. Great, great basketball.

    OKC in 6.

Oh please, there were bad calls both ways. OKC actually had 1 more FT attempt than the Heat yesterday and 9 more in game 1.

    Come on.

If you're going to mention that Battier call, I thought it looked pretty clear that Battier did not have his feet set when KD gathered. Yes, they were set when he got hit, but it's when the other player gathers. Blocking foul.

Other than that, I didn't see very many blown calls (none that could swing the game one way or the other). Now, OKC is the best FT shooting team, and players like Harden and Durant are designed to go to the line. I think that last foul was clearly a foul, but KD should have still drained that shot (not mentioning that horrendous start). I think it's excusable because you want the players to decide, not a controversial call.

HOWEVER, there is no excuse for that goaltending call. Those should be able to be reviewed (as should block/charge calls), and the score just added later on like seeing if a shot got off before 24 secs passed or if it was a 2 or a 3. That was clearly not a goaltend and cost them 2 precious points.

Plus, I still maintain that the Celtics would have won Game 2 if the refs did not ignore the blatant smack to the face that Wade gave Rondo. Heat adore the King without a Ring and the Heat. But I don't use them as an excuse because I think it's pretty much ingrained that you're going against biased refs, especially in Miami (huge homecourt advantage in one of the quietest arenas in the league...hmmm).

Bleh, I have so many sports rants to get off my chest. Either way, best of 5 now.

    Thunder up!

P.S. Did anyone see the trailer for Thunderstruck or the Dream Team doc? I want to see both so bad! I guess I'll catch the Dream Team later on.

The heat really played one of their best basketball this post season and OKC having their typical bad fist half. james had a great game, wade had a great game, the heck even battier had a good game.

there were some really bad calls on the game, that really benefited the Heat., and expect it to be more in their homecourt on games' 3 4 and 5. OKC just needs to play w/ the same intensity of their 2nd half's on both games 1 and 2 and do that all through out the game. and if they did that, i dont see how the heat can win this year.

KD at 23 is really mr clutch, and just imagine how well he can become 4-5 years from now at his prime.

2 nights from now is game 3, OKC needs to have a good 1st half and do what they do best a better 2nd half and it will be an easy win for them.

yeah , James was mr clutch that game.. surprisingly haha.
all jokes aside, it was a grinding game. its just in the end, Heat were able to make plays and the Thunder did too many mistakes in the end and missed alot of FTs the whole game.

Durant was well defended too this time, unlike in games 1 and 2 where he exploded with 17 and 16 points respectively.
it could have gone either way, its just heat really made some crucial plays in the end.

Thunder was able to have a better 1st Quarter tho, which is good but they can do better.. and they need to do alot better on game 4, for them to have a chance to win.

Stupid Westbrook was so selfish today. He got like 41 points, not one single assist. I like how Chalmers stepped up when James sprained his foot. He sort of transformed to Super Mario for the last few minutes of the game. I hope Miami will bag this already!
