I need a solution to this error.

I have been playing Aion for two years or so, this is the first time I've got this error. I get an error everytime I open Aion. The little blue load window works fine, but as soon as it goes to the full screen black load window and "NCSoft" comes up. The game crashes and I get an error which says: 'Aion error 2014; failed to initialize game.' This started happening when I installed the new items.pak yesterday using these instruction: (http://forum.gameznetwork.com/f64/[guide]3-0-items-pak-124142/)

I have tried restarting my computer, and restarting my client. It didn't work.

I will be editing this post to update you guys if it works. I need a solution to this error.

Edit: I'm downloading the original items.pak again, because some of you said it's going to work. I will extract it and update this post if it works.

You downloaded with NCSoft or a friend make a client copy-paste?

 

Got it from a friend. He brought the game in his pen-drive. Although he got me version 2.5, I've been playing for a long time and I've updated the game to 3.0 now with the NCSoft Launcher.

 

download and install direct9 then restart ur pc

 

also try running a consistency check (repairing client with ncsoft launcher) and using the ORIGINAL 3.0 items.pak provided in the 3.0 items.pak guide by smartik, in order to make sure it's not an items.pak problem.

I THINK I got this error on my client as well, once I updated to 3.0... got it about 3 times before it went away, no big deal. just ran a few consistency checks, also got rid of my L10N and bin32 folders and I let ncsoft launcher repair it for me. After that, I had no issues (other than the obvious issue of being a winxp user, no items.pak for me Q.Q).

I had the same problem cuz my friend use win7 (x32) nd me win7 (x64) it's possible that u have the same problem? if it this problem... u must make your own download =/

 

try to get the original items.pak , it happened to me when i tried to get the modified one , all i did is just i backed it up again and it worked !
