Templar Tips

Alrighty I am needing some templar tips here for example:

What manastone build should i go with?
-as of now i have ABG Plate Set+15 3 pt Crit Strik+17/ 2 pt Accuracy+27 and am planning to get ABG Chain Set+15 full MR+14. Also have ABG GS+15 fused to MCD GS full Crit Strike+17 & ABG Mace+15 Crit Strike+17 w/ ABG Shield full Crit Strike+17 and am planning to get another ABG Shield full MR+14 just for ABG Chain Set full MR.

Are there certain skills I should be acquainted with as a Templar?


Are there any another weapons I should get for Templar if so please list.

If there is anything else I should know please feel free to express your thoughts.

k first of all, u said ur getting chain; chain should definately be mr set, go for 2.1k mr with gs, and 2.3k with shield&mace

secondly, there are two choices u can make with plate. (well not two but two that is the best for me, i guess)
First one is to put acc/crit for clerics and chanters and other accuracy needing classes ex. evasion ragner

OR,

use it as a block set, and get an accuracy-high gs, (MCD), and put all accuracy on it.
i get about 2850 accuracy with MCD gs, even on my block set but some heavily stacked block clerics might be tough to kill.
Which i don find that often.
and also, to make a proper block set, u hav to put 3 parts of ur armor as block, and 1.5 parts as crit,
to maximize the crit when ur using gs.
(in other words, u will hav to get another shield and mace for block manastones >_>)
i don rlly lack crit with gs with my block set ( 835)


I am currently trying out the block set, cause i found some glads very hard to tank without any block, nor parry.
I am liking it atm

So, Advantage of acc/crit set with plate, is that u won't meet anyone whom u need more accuracy ( heavily stacked block or evasion)
Disadvantage is that u will not be able to tank some glaads perfectly,


Advantage of block set is that u can tank melees very well,
and also get good enough dps, not rlly lacking compared to acc/crit set,
Disadvantage is that u might meet some heavily stacked people hard to verse xD

Just remember,that guy was made before 3.0. so you have to take in consideration the new sets and skills..

So As u were saying, doing 1.5 crit and 3parts block
well the exact stats are,

3200 block. and rest are crits.
BUT, and this is VERY important;
Make sure u put ur mace/shield socketed full block.
and after u get 3200 block, put crits on rest of the sockets on ur armor.

i suggest u put all accuracy on ur abg gs + MCD gs,
so u can easily fight block templars, clerics, evasion rangers, etc etc.

Also, Ur athana gs; u will only need one athana gs. Socket it with all crit strike.

IT would be awsome if you can get an athana mace for the block set cause it is much easier to fight with.


And you said ur getting another shield and mace which is awsome, socket those two with full mr, so u can reach 2.3k mr with ur chain set

So summing up:
one of ur abg shield , and athana mace : full block socketed;
u wear those two with ur plate set, and ur stats should be 3.2k block, and rest of them crit.
You will need a helm that is not just for mr; MCD helm would be more than enough

Another piece of your abg shield, and abg mace: full mr socketed
U wear those two with ur chain set, and stats should be 2.3k mr, and 2.1k mr with greatsword.
(You will need the food that increases mr, with MCD mace)

Just change your abg gs to athanas greatsword it will help a lot )

 

socket ur chain set for 2 parts MR and 3 parts full crit. ur mace and 1h sword full mr then ur GS sword full crit you dont have to worry changing ur set everytime u fight. what templar challenges most is the sorc/sm (magic damage) and gladiator(annoying stumble).

 

IMO theres no point socketing mr +14 only in 2 parts.. il take my chance in socketing crit/acc rather than mr/crit.. templar got some nice buffs that even w/o a mr set u can kill a sor

 

one thing you should know is , templar isnt ranger or sorc.. where u can kill by facerolling.
with a templar, u need to move the right way, use the skills @ the right time. and ofc, use the counter MS build to an opponent *not too important but it helps w/ survivability and trolling*

 

for me that's a good build for templar abg chain if you have 1 set only. sadly i used plate full MR set since 2.7. :sideways:

AND: U MUST HAVE EXTENDABLE GREATSWORD and mace

 

I think u should make a block set,coz mr is not necessary..sorcs are easy for temp I think and sm able to hit every condition but u should tAke carE about melee classes .. GL
