I just want to know which is the chanter's crit best value and which manastones i've to socket in the abg.

I went MA on my abg chain gear worked out fine for me but most chanters use MR or Crit/Attack just depends on your personal preference Parry is also good

Im MR/MA/Crit with my ABG Chain. Just balance yer manastone well.

 

Well, i think if i want to resist magic attacks i've to socket ALL my armor and weapon with that kind of manastones, not just a part, i also don't like attack manastones...

why i say that? i don't promise you are going to resist all the spells from sorc/sm but.. you will be able to resist many skills from melee classes (debuffs,runes,silences) and mr clerics will be useless vs an mr chanter

 

Ohh. In my opinion, stacking yer gears with ALL MR stones is useless to think sorcs running with MA + SOF or Magic Assist.

 

Nope your Staff has to always be Attack or Crit your mace and shield will always be MR or it can be Parry, what goes on your gear doesnt really matter its just what you like most. I went MA +14's on my gear because it proced my stuns / godstone affect much more often. But the downside is sorcs. I wouldn't suggest going MA unless you were comfortable with Chanter and have Greater Healing Pots + some Fine Serums .

 

mr is to resist debuffs from other classes not to survive from m.acc sors's .

a pro chanter will always survive a pro sorc and killim you know that you are an old chanter user

 

Yea, I would go full MR, in my opinion, Sorc's hit like a truck now-days, especially today when a sorc hit me for almost 8k with Flame Spray ^-^

 

Well that was back in 2.7 in 3.0 sorcs got buffed with there new burst skill which makes killing a sorc...annoying. Really the only way to kill a sorc now a days is to run away heal run away heal run away heal and hope you survive all there burst then go in for the kill.

Yes MR would be ideal but chanters don't really need it, imo,

 

Surely critical, i do 5k and i'm full abg.

 

naw i'd say it was just due to Magic Assist which is why he got hit for 8k, not because it crit.

 

in gamez all you need is silence godstone on your weapon

i remember i did test duels with lhuv with my attack/crit set and he got really mad cause of the stumbles and damage chanter has in 3.0 but in siel. stigma system is surely different

 

Yep all yer praying for is yer silence godstones to proc to which nowadays, very seldom. Sorcs are mad nowadays.

 

well you do make a point its different b/w siel and lumiel cant make much of an argument there, im sure i'd have a hard time as a chanter on Siel and would most likely rely on going MR so i see your point.

 

Guys talk about chanters not sorc... how about stigmas skills? ^^

 

I use the bottom tree for chanter, because i like DPS, but i'm rethinking of taking of Numbing Blow ll, because it is basically the same as Hallowed Strike V, whatever space you have left, I would suggest to get Protective Ward, Soul Crush, Recovery Spell (which is a must), and Annihilation(Burst), even though it doesn't go through all the way, some people say it works on Ely side but doesn't work on Asmo side, so not sure xD.
