Kill the GM Event

Hello,

I wanted to suggest you guys do this event in a safe place, like Elyos Square (Middle of Sanctum), because when you do this in the arena, it is unfair for fighters, they die in a matter of seconds once they approach the gm as everyone is using aoes. Doing it in a safe zone would be fair for everyone, don't you think? Plus that even i, a sorcerer, get attacked by at least 2-3 whenever i enter the arena. Currently, the best way to win is stay outside and get in when the gm has like 10% hp and spam skills.

Oh and something else, how does the gm know which was the last hit? Some hits are delayed and when he dies, he takes like 10 hits before it even says "You have died" in the chat.(Can record if you don't understand what i mean)

p.s. I am not talking about the Duel the GM Event, i am talking about the one in which the GM has lots of health/defence and everyone hits him, then the final hit wins.

I think Most Am's do there event's in arena because the Am's can kill players too, and when the am kills the player or when players kill each other he/she will auto-spawn out side the arena without losing xp/ap And it will save the player from Resurrecting at there obelisk and walking back to the location.

But I do know what you mean other players aoe's do tend to kill you/players in the process of trying to kill the Gm cause the arena isen't that big off a place.


Maybe Doing an alliance/group will stop aoe's from killing other players Ill have to test it.

 

If i can still remember completely, Cami hosted this one and it was fun , simply because both factions are able to participate since she did it @ Gelkmaros/Silentera/Inggison.
It was really fun because seeing like elyos almost got cami but suddenly asmos came and killed cami. More thrills and twists.

About the arena.
I believe its more interesting to participate with this event in areas where usually asmos and elyos PvPs cause,when a GM hosts this event they have about 150k+ hp/More MR/More def etc from the dux if im not mistaken and yeh its Boring to kill a running GM with OP health and the fact that only 1 race is trying to kill.Also in PvP maps, both factions gets AP and will have fun at the same time ._. hueheuhue.

Oh and something else, how does the gm know which was the last hit?
If whoever got the last blow.

Yes I agree, as what i've said before this, really boring doing such event in safe place and one race.Adding some twists like GMs staying in Omega would be fun lololol.

They can do it in some area where u can kisk u.u the amounts of players dying in the arena from the aoes are much larger than the amounts of ppl the gms kill in these events.

What i remember was 10-15 elyos trying to get close and 30-40 asmos zerging us. Aren't u talking about the one where the gm was at the spot mastarius is supposed to spawn? It was lame imo cuz we were outnumbered, was like 3 to 1.

As about the last hit part, i think u misunderstood me. I know that the gm sees the last hit, not who dealt most of the damage. That's not what i'm saying. I said that when he gets the "final hit", he gets like 4-5 other hits after it too, then it says he died. But his screen is grayed out right after he gets the final hit and chat is not visible, he can NOT see which hit killed him, i can show u ingame if u want.

Feels good being in a group and healing/hitting the gm from far, doesn't it? You get no trouble at all. Why don't u try participating in this event as a sin for example? I'd love to see for how long u would survive. Not more than 5-10 seconds.

 

AMs are not allowed to kill players, especially during events.

 

Lol they killed lots of us, it was in the arena though so we were spawning outside.
Anyways, when the gm is at low hp, about to die, then before he does he kills a player, its like disqualifying him from the event. I am against killing players, regardless of what the rules say about it.

 

Cami started doing this event in a PvPvGM style in the coliseum since it allowed us to fight players with no repercussion. the event is usually handled as a RvR in PvP maps such as balaurea maps or the abyss, but our command to become red named to both races is not working at the moment, so any Kill the GM events done would have to be done in arena, since otherwise one of the races wouldn't be able to kill the GM since it would show as friendly.

of course, there is another way of doing the event, where one race would defend, while the other one would attack. still more fun to watch tons of people killing each others trying to get to you =P

 

how about two GMs will do an event.. attack and defend type as mention above.. one on Asmo and one on Elyos... a race two who will kill the GM 1st on each faction.. i know a question about the number of participants will come to be the problem.. but it will be a good event if the number can be controlled... just a suggestion though...

 

It exists already, it's called Battle of the GM's =P

 

I remember running for my life last time there was no limit for participants, being chased by 25 asmos lol..

Yer, AM's are not allowed to kill players, but they all follow Josh's example because he does kill whoever the fk he wants so AM's think it's allowed.
If I'm not wrong when you go //enemy all and if your elyos, it will only tell you "player x killed ya" only if he's an asmo, if you die by an elyos won't tell ya the name, only "You have died" =)

 

I asked a senior AM if you can kill player and he said yes you can kill player's in arena cause They dont lose AP/XP inside the arena.

But yes you can't kill players. But i suspose you can when it comes to kill the gm in event cause players dont lose ap/xp . ^^

 

its kinda fun though so i think there is no problem with it....and i think slyther done one like that event when that event held in silentera, which is a real rumble between elyos and asmodians, hahaha
