Not too bad of a video. Little slower paced but, its a good change from all of the fast beat pvp videos.

Reason he uses LD on sorcs is for the extra skill damage/attack though, not for the physical binding aspect of it if you look closely.

 

Don't eat the guy it wasnt too bad overall

Apparently, you can just use Body Smash or Weakening Blow instead. Both skills does not require you to stop moving, both also has chains now and both of them shares cool down with Lockdown

Lockdown was so he can cover silence!!111 ( <insert random debuff>, Lockdown and hope for silence proc xD )

Jokes aside, you don't have to put both Piercing Wave and Piercing Rupture on quickbar because they share cool down. Music wasn't bad. Also, nice to see another person using Japanese hit_number, it looks nice!

 

Weakening Severe Blow is better cuz ur target has Physical Def decreased.

The only time you should ever use Lockdown on casters is when they are extremely close to death and you want to get the small amount of DPS needed to kill them, as fast as possible. The animation on Lockdown is much shorter than Body Smash and Weakening Severe Blow.

Between Body Smash chain and Weakening Severe Blow chain, I would use Body Smash. The effect of Weakening Severe Blow can be resisted, potted, and the duration isn't a significant amount anyway. Plus, the Body Smash chain has a potential to do much more damage:

It does even more if you weave in between the attacks.

you guys need to stop overreacting. from my observation, he used lockdown because it was easy to get to because he has a clicker setup.

plus, gladiators are more versatile than other classes and they have plenty of room for error before it changes the outcome of a battle.

@theryu: set some keybinds up.

my advice: use 123456QERTYFGHZXCVBN for primary skills, ALT + 123456QERTYFGHZXCVBN for secondary skills, then CTRL + 123456QERTYFGHZXCVBN for buffs or misc.

primary skills = low cd or reaction dependent skills.
secondary skills = moderate-high cd or non-reaction dependent skills.

example of primary skills: lockdown, fero chain, strengthen wings, second wind, greater healing pot.
example of secondary skills: SPC, PC, SS, piercing rupture.

this is what you need to work on most, because i can see that you are having trouble getting to skills fast enough.
get used to those binds (it will take at least a month) and your skill level will improve tremendously, and you will have a lot more fun during pvp.

more advice: don't start off a fight with someone with ankle snare or a stumble/aerial. wait to use those skills until you really need them.
