Starter Packs for newbies

I suggest that playes to be able to buy from the shop a starter pack (several for each class), which will contain, let's say decent, gear for the new players, for example lvl 40 abyss gear: Elite Archon Centurion's Set + Archon Centurion's Access (incl hat+belt) + Elite Archon Centurion's Weapons or maybe full DP Gear: Anuhart Set + Elite Anuhart Weapons + the accessoaries (incl anuhart hat+belt). Or even EAT gear (which is "junk", considering the new 3.0 gears). This would allow the new players more easily to gear up with better gear. And also maybe some potions - normally GRS and GMS and scrolls - the basic greater running and courage/awakening, this to be like 150-200 pcs each. The price for this starter pack may be like 500 credits, which is reasonable for new players. What do you guys think?

 

Players can gear Up really fast! 80% of the ppl is full abg or eac/acd atm coz they donate 2.5k vip creds and trade for abg set so...

 

You're right, but why do you need to donate in order to get a gear when you can buy a starter pack, start running some instances and vote in the same time. And also I personally won't ever donate like $200 to get like 20k credits and get full EAC.

I don't see any reason for this not to be applied because when players have no decent gear and see everybody running around with end-game one they easily lose interest and are more likely to leave the server, but when they have good gear and can easily run instances they gain more interest in the game and are more likely to continue to play, and therefore vote and maybe donate.

 

even if you vote for a month and a half you can get an abg set. and in that time you can get full gear from instances, so i don't see the reason why a starter pack should be implemented (especially the lvl 40 pvp gear or anuhart - as you mentioned)

 

you get ap through pvp so fast, and then you can buy the level 40 gear yourself from the npc

 

I don't see how a newbie could get AP fast when they don't have a decent gear to go to PvP... I don't say that exactly these gears should be in the starter pack, maybe something different, but decent though.

I think the Idea isn`t that bad, i had much luck to find someone ingame he helped me a lot, but without him don`t wanna think about it^^
Maybe Anuhart or a lower Set would be very nice.

 

This is actually a decent suggestion,though 500 credits would be too cheap and market would flood with those items,maybe a 1500 credits price would be better.

 

i agree about the starter pack, i know i joined this somunity a long time ago, and i played a bit a long time ago, but i still feel like a newbie cuz i dont have any pvp gear at all, exept for graceful set

 

yea 500 creds is a little price but 1500 is a bit too much, mabey 1000 is the perfect price

 

because before donating, we also had no gear, and prior to donating, we had to earn gear ourselves, new players have it easier now, with areana items and etc. I remember rolling mainly on anuhart gear, back then, now you sw... and you guys do know its bannable to ninja loot your members - i know this can be a problem all it takes is a report and screenshot, but do not even know how they can code such thing, I know other servers have their gm give the items pack, but you suggest buying it, which probably good idea but implementing is difficult, they cannot just code instant bliss in here you know.. and also the scrolls front they have those covered in the ingame surveys, and 500 credits? LOL they still selling items you mention 500 a piece LOL maybe 25 dollars

 

Then in that case there could be a service hosted from one or 2 staff members,they could withdraw the credits from the player's account and afterwards mail him or trade him the starter pack,no coding needed for that.

 

It needs coding but I don't think it is that hard (just presume) to make few items based on those bundle boxed that give you items. Or maybe another idea would be to change the in-game surveys because almost all the items there are useless except the GLS, GMS, the greater scrolls, tokens and the platinums... Maybe when a player reaches level 40 they get to choose their gear from surver, level 45 access and level 50 weapons...
But I like the idea of the GM's giving the items, it would be good if there's a form in the forum which you fill your server, race, character name and class and the gm sees it, gets the credits and mails you your starter pack.

Just for information, I saw this in another server (won't mention the name) and I liked it and I though it will be good to have it in Gamez as well. There, the items were boxes which u double-click and get your started pack, and they were available in the in-game special shop.

 

I dont understand clearly why its so difficult to change Surveys, it would be helpfull to change the Survey that gives You Major Crowns they are useless. But a PvP-Set isnt right, i think Pve-Stuff might be ok, but PvP is a little to much i think. I read here in another Post "Buy at the NPC" will someone tell me how to get Medals here? In the Abyss for Siegesfight or is there a Place to farm?

 

This is a great suggestion considering almost every other aion server has something like this
except gamezaion...i cant speak for how it is on siel but on lumiel
no one runs instances anymore i cant even remember the last timei saw someone run besh or LFG for it lol
if you come to this server and dont know know anyone gottasay you are pretty screwed and voting for like 3 months
just to be able to fight decently against somsone lets say on my gear level which is eac is fair however doing it in
idk the shit gear you get from the surveys lol is just laughable not to mention no one runs DP anymore on lumiel either
so anuharts is out of the question guess they can sit in zergs and hit ppl for ap and try not to die but personally i don't think
that is helpful or a good thing for new players to do should atleast give them 30 or 40 elite nothing OP and nothing
that we older players can take advantage of just enough to get them started.

 

Actually I would say that even an EAT gear is good for starter pack, considering the fact that the new gears render EAT practically junk... This is supposed to be PvP Server and when someone joins, he/she would want PvP, not struggling months to get decent gear (that is for low-rate servers)...just saying...
Maybe removing all surveys and making only one survey at level 50 in wich you get to choose a starter pack(one for each class) with full decent gear + some pots/scrolls + 10 platinums (as usual).

 

well i agree with this idea, lamez aion is only one which dont have nothing for newcomers, almost all servers i tried got starter packs like NCC gear or ABG or EAT gear so i dont see what so bad about this....mainlly problem is admins here are too greedy to implement something that would be good for everyone just look how many instances, pvp arenas works zzzz anyways everything always comes back sad they open retarded promotion shops or special shops for brainwashed kids so they can buy virtual crap and stuff like that to feel cool in virtual world actually this is so sad and i hope someday there will be law to ban thees money whores from internet world
