I know, I've been trying to.

I've known for a while I've been becoming more and more of an *******. My life kinda changed for the worse over a year ago when we moved from Wisconsin to Flagstaff Arizona. I left all my friends, my boyfriend everyone I had known for seven years. And now no one can even be bothered to text me, I guess its that saying of out of sight out of mind. And then a week ago we moved from flag to phoenix, so all the people I tried to get to know up there are now gone.

I guess i'e just grown more stressed and sour because shes the only person that talks to me anymore. And i'm a person who really depends on people as an outlet to keep my sanity going. Sure youtube and a video game are there but that's nothing like human interaction, and a game only lasts for so long. That's why I started going on here and tried fitting into other places, to try to meet people.

Hell i'm not even worried about or relationship together i'm more worried about our relationship as friends. I could care less loosing her as a partner, though I know I already have, but loosing her as a friend would be devastating to me. And I know she doesn't feel the same way about me that she used to, after how I've been treating people...I try so hard to change, but its hard when your only friend and the only person that is really there to talk to you is annoyed of you talking to them, so I get upset. I know i'm a really clingy person and cling to everyone that even bothers to say hi to me just because I need other people.

Thanks for the support though. It helps me feel not as alone. She did end up talking to me again a little while ago...hurt when she said she was considering not talking to me again but she couldn't go through with it...though I know shes going through a stressed depression spurt -it might be her period I dunno I don't ask those things XD- so hopefully she can come back around soon. It just really hurts when the only person that remotely gives a shit about you outside of your family tells you they are fed up with you.

Well, I can understand the part about being clingy as something that may be a bit annoying to some, but what else might cause this? I had situations too where I had to move away from people I had gotten to know, one time I moved away from a girlfriend I liked alot (but was too young to really get into deep emotions) and another time with one I loved to the point that I still dream about her commonly, even Tuesday night I did. It sucked, the last one (which was 10 years ago) put me into a deep depression for a while which has honestly affected a lot of my personality traits, but overall looking back on it, the easiest thing to do is move on.

I still have my times when I become a whiny emo kid to people I know (just ask regii or selik) but mostly I've been trying to shift to being more apathetic and I'd suggest the same for you, the word may have a bad implication but I don't mean you need to become a stone cold statue whenever someone attempts to conversate with you, just try to distance your emotions more. For me, it has allowed me to remain calm when someone should be upsetting me, have an easier time meeting people, not bothering people I talk to by being too talkative and annoying (I used to do that all the time, but its actually a very easy habit to kick, don't tell yourself you can't do it), and stuff like that. Even giving out advice that I know might make people hate me

I know this may sound a bit harsh, but really if you're clingy and (supposedly) annoying to the point that its driving away friends that you've known for that long, it could seriously be an issue for all your social interactions, and you want to change that. Despite what some people say, clinginess is one of the easiest traits to change, it takes some restraint at first but once you see the positive reactions that come from it, it will almost immediately become nature to have that restraint. Same with being overtalkative, though in different ways of course, and it takes more practice to know the boundaries.

Anyway, I'm not sure how bad the situation actually is, or if this is just something your friend is freaking out over (I've done that before, though not to the friend as I knew it was a temporary thing) but if you really think that kind of personality is detrimental, you should change it immediately as this can affect several aspects of your life, including job/career.
