Infinite Aion

Over time, we each have went our own way." Those are words from the owners of Infinite Aion. I know this is Gamez and is way different from Infinite in terms of rates, tolls and I guess goals. But it doesn't cross out the fact that Gamez too is a private server. I'm not saying anything bad against Gamez, I'm just a bit concerned of the future of the game. A lot of people invested huge amounts of money, effort and time. I hope that none of this will happen to Gamez. If it does, oh well shit happens. QQ much I'll do. >.

 

Yeah I saw that this morning.

Was kindof expected really considering IA has always been aimed at making an experience as close to retail as humanly possible - NCSoft's transition to F2P was bound to hit their target demographic hard. They also suffered a lot more downtime from the spate of DDOS attacks on private servers over the last six months or so than we did.

Bit sad really considering all the good competition they gave us over the years, weird to see them shutter up shop. I posted a little shoutout thread on there earlier, mostly to say hi to Toasty since we'd run into eachother once or twice over the years, but it got ninja deleted by a mod =p

I guess these things happen though. On the subject of Gamez we're not going anywhere anytime soon ^^

Still does! Just letting this one slide since a) the server is dead/closed so it's not really advertising and b) I have some degree of respect for IA and those who ran it, they've given us some healthy competition over the years and I know fullwell what running one of these "lovely places" does to a person. Could never really blame Toast for being the sort of person he was.

Of course this thread will probably fall off the face of the earth in a day or two when people find something else interesting to chat about.
